Blight does NOT need nerfs
To all of you who voted for him to get nerfed, just why? hes very skillful, has skilled and strong counterplay and is very mechanically rewarding for both sides. He only needs some addon nerfs, his basekit is 100% perfect.

Nobody is asking to nerf his base-kit lol. People are just asking to nerf his add-ons and fix his bugs. And he deserves these nerfs.

Community survey. I disagree about hug tech, its unintended yeah but its not broken. Its really good on filler pallet loops but there you can just drop the pallet or run away. outside of that its just used to save a token/do some crazy double back moonrush or something

I think most people only want the addons looked at. Most people agree blight is fine at his kit.
People who think the hug tech needs to go just don’t have the simple skill to counter it, and don’t understand that fixing it (in turn fixing his collision) would make his bump logic stronger than it is now.

I have skills to counter it. I just want to bugs fixed. Simple. Plus with speed add-ons sometimes you can't even react before get hit.

hug tech and having insanely busted addons on top of being a A - S tier killer already as basekit.
basekit 100% perfect? ....if hug tech wasnt a thing and collision wasnt soo bad when playing him on some maps;I would say yes.
sadly "speed addons" making his counterplay waay more luck / guessing depending are not helping.

Compound Thirty - three basically making blight a better version of demo on some tiles on top of the hindered status effect.
You know whats the weird part about speed addons ? -- they increase the amount of distance you gain by almost 200% and on top of that it makes your second rushes waaay more hard to avoid because of the high speed.
and them you look other killers speed addons like billy , Oni , wraith and Legion. where most of their addons are not even close to the strength of blighted crow / rat.

So you admit that it has skill based counterplay, but still want it removed just because its a bug? I guess something being unintended automatically means it must go.

Yes, exactly that. Not all people can counter it. And i don't care if it is skilled or not. If it's a bug, it should not be in game.
Plus hug-tech is kinda guess game. And it favors Blight when he has his speed add-ons. I guess it's alright for you. But not for me.

I think the majority of people who voted for his nerf (myself included) just want his addons changed. His basekit is fine.

Obviously not, considering it’s not hard to counter. Some people can’t counter it? That can be said about literally anything in the game. That’s kind of how pvp games work. Some are better than others.
How do we even know it’s a “bug” anymore? It has not been spoken on in forever. Unintended features / gameplay has been fully integrated many times before.
Lastly, it’s not a guess game. You can clearly see when a blight is setting up for a hug tech. ESPECIALLY if he has speed addons. Guess what… if he starts bumping over and over, he’s probably about to hug tech.

I am sure we will learn when they nerf Blight. If they keep it, we can say it's new base-kit for Blight. If they won't, then it was bug and it removed.
They are not talking about it because the same reason why Twins did not got rework. Simple. They worked on meta and base-kit changes last year. So some changes just delayed to later. Maybe this is case for Blight as well. Who knows?

Yeah time will tell. I just want some fair nerfs for Blight, so playing against him will feel better. I don't wanna see another Billy case because i really enjoy against Blight. Yes, i know. I complain so much about him but i love to face with Blight.
So hopefully devs just see real problems on Blight and fix them. I don't wanna see his base-kit nerfed.

I am so afraid of him getting Billy’d. Blight has kept this game alive for me. The hug tech specifically allows for wayyy too much fun in game for me. That’s why I defend it so much.
But maybe there will be some fair changes that appease both of us and we can stop going back and forth about it every single day. xD Anytime I see your name pop up, I just know I’m about to get into it over blight again.

Unfortunately, I can see him getting the Billy treatment. Wish the people who complain about him having no skill actually played him. Then it would be the other way around.
Hug teching shouldn't be a bug, it should be a part of the game.
Let's rework C33, Alch Ring & Vial first and fix his most important bugs and collision before removing him from being able to hug. Hug teching depends on latency and the right tile. Do you really think hugging a tile is more broken than literally negating his hitbox by standing still or crouching?

Would it be worth it if huggies were gone but they ironed out most of his collision issues and a bunch of his bugs? Made him much more consistent on most of the tiles and maps that aggravate him?

It’s kind of a double edged sword for me.
Yes, bump logic is objectively stronger than going for a hug tech. In that regard, yes it would be worth.
But a hug tech hit is sooooo much more fun for blight mains. Especially when you start throwing in moonrushes and double back moonrushes, etc. it just broadens blight’s gameplay to more than just “ok I’m going to bounce here, survivor will go there, I bounce here and secure a hit.”
Me personally, I’d rather have frustrating maps with some inconsistent 💩 collision and be able to hugtech simply for the fun.

I'm pretty sure I cannot get the full enjoyment out of him with a controller 🎮, no matter what stupid thing I'm sliding off of that I shouldn't be. Might be coloring how I see him.

Yea controller is a struggle on blight… I wish you console players could experience M&K on blight.

I mean, flinging the mouse to the other side of the room is better than dealing with the auto aim on console, or doing any flick motion.
Trust me, i played on both platforms and it was SO MUCH better once i moved on to PC.

Thats not what I'm saying though. And also you cant just say hes objectively overtuned without anything to back it up. I'm saying that his basekit is fine because its powerful through your skill, and can be countered to equal effect through skill as well. Essentially boiling down to the better player coming out on top... which is how games should work.
Blights easy to pick up and see value with but very hard to learn to use effectively. Anyone can just use rushes for map mobility and be an m1 killer in chase, but playing like that will just make you a better sadako. Actually playing blight is difficult and rewarding for both sides, anything a blight can do can be shut down but a good survivor and vice versa. Without addons. ######### ring.

A conditional 3% haste perk is the end of the world but 10-50% extra speed from add ons is fair 🙂

I am with HTL, I'll take the current state of blight in which collision on both new and older maps is constantly becoming worse just so I can keep the hug tech. Blight is the only thing I will play as killer now even though I play mostly survivor now, no other killer is near as fun and as potentially skillful.

I don't see an issue with that. Fixing his bugs and making his bump logic consistent seems like a win.
People who want Blight nerfed in general are probably of that mindset because of how nasty most blight players are. Not all of them are like that obviously. Unfortunately most Blight players just have zero chill.

At least that speed has to build up and is very punishing if you miss. One bad rush and the chase is lost... mft just automatically grants you extra chasetime on non chase oriented killers.

Correction if it's not hard to counter than there is no reason not to keep it. It's simply another layer that isn't peak potential for blight in chase. Your logic is backwards. Most blights like the hug tech because it is fun. If you watched momo play during his win streak he never used the hug tech because it is simply not efficient most of the time. The hug tech is fun to use and play against, the only people who think otherwise don't know how to adapt to anything but m1 killers lmao.

Nerf his add-ons then i would see if he needs base-kit nerfs or not.
It's insane that his add-ons aren't in bhvr priority list for nerfs.

C33, Alch ring, Adrenaline vial and green speed. There is not a single other add-on that could be considered busted. Even then green speed just compliments other add-ons too much.

High skill ceiling = The killer is fine no matter how broken they are. Just look at old Nurse. Like, old old Nurse. Completely fine, right?
Blight is hard but still his addons break him. He's pretty much at the highest level of strength that is still bearable with just his base kit. Any useful addon, that isn't just a quality of life improvement will break this killer. Iri Tag? Busted in the right hands. C33? Busted for everyone. Alch Ring? Insanely broken. Maybe the dumbest addon in the game. Adrenaline Vial? Broken again.
I could continue with some of his other addons but you get the idea. I am of the opinion that every killer should have strong addons. Not beyond overpowered but strong. In Blight's case, you really can't give him any strong addons without breaking him when his base power is already this strong. As much as I don't like the idea of nerfing Blight both in his base kit as well as his addons (I really don't) it is necessary. Otherwise you would need to nerf all of his addons to obscurity. Something like: You hit a survivor with your power and now they are 2% slower for 2 seconds. Or: Your last rush is 2% faster.
Also, I do think that Hug Tech should be fixed. I know that this means fixing all of his collisions (and I don't see anything wrong with that) but really a killer should work as intended. Even Blight.

personally, i'll take better collision; as i love going for hug techs, it can be a bit frustrating when you slide off something you should be able to bump off of. getting his bugs fixed would be enough for me.
hug techs are such a dopamine rush when you pull them off (i find bump logic boring) and i'll be torn if they get removed. but can't complain about better collision in return.

The system that allows hug tech to exist is the very same that allows several other killers their techs and I dont see anyone complaining about curve billy, hug wesker or slippery demo.
Hug tech on Blight is without a doubt helpful, but its very rarely (if ever) the sole reason as to why you got downed.
Im not saying he doesnt need to be changed, but hug tech is one of the last things that need to be changed

Luckily they gave an opportunity to explain "how" the killer should be nerfed (e.g. add-on nerf) in the question after that so hopefully they would also take that into account since they put it in the survey after all.

Most players aren't willing to do that though, not without Cross Progression. After thousands of hours grinding and whatever monies spent it is very hard to start all over and buy & relevel everything. I won't.
Just to be able to use a mouse and get stable frames, to maybe play most of the killers to anywhere near their full potential?
