Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Single player games and DBD

I just want to say to you all that I am so thankful for single player games because playing DBD can be bring the ugly out of you if you let it. Especially as a killer main that never message or harass strangers, but I'm the one receiving messages from survivors who either won or lost. I , like a dummy turned the Playstation option to receive messages on and what do you know, a bunch of survivor mains pretty much afther every match messaged me about how they won or cried about what I did them to cause them to lose. My reply back was to just "Grow up and I hope youre not an adult acting like you are". But anyway I just want to say that this community sometimes makes me wish ai never discovered this game although I love the game, but afther yesterday Im just thankful I can really just get away for a while and play some good old single player games.

I play on Playstation as well. I turned off messages and take full advantage of anonymous mode. Part of me misses when I would get the occasional positive interaction (well played, GGs, thanks for the rescue, etc.) but it's not worth the overwhelming negativity.

I'm thinking of turning it off again for the same reason. It's just too much toxicity coming from killers and survivors alike.

I turned off messaging on the PS5 the moment I moved onto that platform. Once a game is over I let it go and move on. I don't need to consistently rehash it because someone else can't let it go.
