When is stuff like this getting fixed?
I don't main killer I play both sides and I am all for a bit of fun.But when they have almost the whole map set up with boons and I have actually no way to counter them getting up even with setting traps as trapper. I actually couldn't do anything until end game and I was able to finish off with one of them on a hook. This was just a massive defeat and not fun. I'm sure they had a blast as they were clicking flashlights and all that in the exit until I started hitting them out. But have ran into multiple survive with friends groups running similar this is the type of thing that needs to be fixed. Am I the only one on this? And sorry I'm ranting it was beyond frustrating and I honestly don't know if I want to get back on dbd after this. I don't camp I don't tunnel i dont slug for wins. I try to have fun and give everyone a chance. Working on getting better in chases and learning more on how to mind game. I'm still pretty new to this game. This is just super discouraging. Or I will just stick to playing survivor when I can run with some friends so I know it won't be some one sided match full of just toxic behavior we all believe in playing fairly and just having fun. I guess the question I really have is does this happen as often as I have ran into it or am I just unlucky and does anyone know if setups like this in survive with friends groups are being fixed in any way?

Also would leaving a match with this happening be a banable offense?

You mean DC'ing?
Yes you'll get a time out for a couple minutes to start and the time goes up the more you DC.
It's how the the player-base is toxic killers create these toxic groups
and these toxic groups create toxic killers. Endless cycle
Trapper might not be for you try Wraith.
Wraith is who I used when I started playing until Spirit came out.
Keep practicing and learning from your mistakes, sooner then later you'll be able to deal with theses type of groups.

This is not a perk/playstyle issue, this is a matchmaking issue. It seems you went against a good 4-man SWF + map offering while being still fairly new yourself, believe it or not these perks are not meta even on Eyrie, and you would have lost just as hard if they were playing normally.
Unfortunately, there's not much you can do about the game matching you against better players, this will always happen from time to time, so just play the game normally and try to get BPs. That said, if you think these players were trying to intentionally be toxic and it annoys you then I would say the whole situation becomes different. In that case a DC is perfectly justified imo. It's a shame that it's the only thing you can do but the penalty is very light (1 minute) and unfortunately the game tries very hard to protect its most toxic players so there likely won't be any other solution soon. Though I would be careful with labelling people as toxic too early since the definition changes a lot depending on who you ask to. Even from your perspective these guys might be bullies but in reality they could just be a bunch of friends trying to laugh at the game and not at you.

I would really not advise people to "try to get better and eventually you'll be able to deal with this kind of groups". That's very unlikely to be true for most people unless they invest thousands of hours into the game. Ultimately, you'll always end up facing players that are way better than you, and whether these guys decide to be toxic after they win is out of your control. In fact, getting better will increase your MMR and make it maybe even more likely to run into 4-man squads, so it might make the situation even worse. You should aim at becoming better at the game because you like the game, not because you want to seek revenge against some guys over the Internet. Spending 1000 hours for that is not worth it I'm sure OP has much better use of this time.

Stop playing Trapper. He’s only good if you play Basement Trapper and even then it’s boring. He’s the weakest killer in the game unless you’re facing brand new survivors.
Start off with Wraith just so you can get a feel for the game. Go on YouTube and look up videos on “How to play Killer in Dbd” to learn more.
SWF are strong and more common than people on here would have you believe, but they’re not all unbeatable. I recommend you don’t play killer in the evenings after 7:30PM, especially on the weekend.

Stomp the boon and slug them all out.

Don't tell others to practice to get better at a certain killer they choose to play, ok.
Well thanks for your advice.

That's not at all what I meant. I said that you should not play with the goal of seeking revenge. Practicing because you like the game is perfectly fine. But practicing with the hope that you can ultimately be strong enough to beat bullies in DBD, is a super inefficient use of your time. You'd be competing with people whose entire life goal is to make others waste their time. And even if you end up beating them, then what? The game will be forgotten after 5 minutes, and then they'll go bully someone else.

Since it is a well known issue, that the MMR in this game is a little bit wonky (to put it mildly), here's a tip for you; Lobby Dodging. If it looks like you're going against a SWF (similar names, skins, multiple flashlights etc...) just leave. Do this about 3 to 5 times and you'll eventually get a team that is closer to your real MMR.
I learned this the hard way. And now I am usually going against a lot fairer teams that match my skill level and not so many bully/meme squads.

I never said anything about seeking revenge or be a bully. If I was I would be telling them to camp and tunnel nodding and smack the one on the hook. Play ghost face and pig and t-bag the slug on their head.
Just because I told them to practice so they can deal with these groups wasn't me telling them to seek out revenge and to be like them.
It was so they know how to deal with them. So they can enjoy the match instead of being another whiny crybaby that comes to the forums complaining about everything little thing.

I mean this is pretty much the definition of 'bully squad'. A full 4-man bringing a survivor-sided map and abusing perks combos that leave the killer without anything they can do.
Yes, those aren't 'meta' builds but I'm gonna guess whenever you started chasing them they just ran upstairs and got down on the corner of the balcony, meaning you only have one hook you can use, with difficulty, and they got a sabo player. It's a shame the only counter to abusing Boil Over is to leave them slugged because then they just bring No Mither, or in this case two Boon: Expos, and you literally can't even just slug em.
I'm sure a good Nurse or Blight could deal with this but for any other killer if you aren't REALLY good, you can't really do anything.
Honestly Boil Over in general needs to be changed, it's borderline useless in most games, unless you purposefully go down in certain spots and then it's gamebreaking.

Yeah it wasn't even so much as trying to be able to deal with them. They stayed grouped up all together at the top of stairs. So picking them up was impossible I didn't notice the flashlights beforehand or I would have brought lightborn. Even if I had brought lightborn there were no hooks there to use and with boil over, flip flop and the sabo user breaking the hook and the body blocking they were off of me and running around upstairs. I did snuff boons but they immediately ran and lit them up again. Even with me running bloody coil and placing traps in front of the totems didnt matter they just stayed injured. Pretty much only way I see being able to stop this would be running shattered hope, lightborn, iron grasp, and agitation/mad grit but there isn't exactly a way to predict what perks the survivors are bringing and that would be just to counter this one thing. Even then I am still relatively new not sure I would still be able to pull this off with running spirit who is my main. I was just playing trapper for a change of pace.
