How do you Gen Rush?
I do not wish to stir trouble. I just honestly want to know, how does a person Gen Rush, or what do you consider gen rushing to be?

The only time Gen rushing is a real thing is 4 man swf with multiple toolboxes and bnps.
Anything else is hyperbole and frustration over being bad at Gen defense.

You bring items and perks to hit gens really hard.
You sit on gens and let players die on hook and don't heal to push gens asap.
Most players usually just say gen rush when survivors just do gens faster then what they prefer.

In general - you bring the best stuff you have for repair.
Big toolbox with addons, build to last for refilling. Deja vu, Resilience, Spine Chill can help too.
If you are more than one player, prove thyself for coop bonus.
Then you just try to pump the gens as fast as you can.

You don't need anything, with three survivors on different generators and one survivor being chased an efficient team could take out all five generators in under 3 minutes. While yes this is a perfect scenario routinely this will still end up under 5 minutes when survivors have nothing more than a single generator perk and maybe one toolbox.
The reality is generators still go too fast for the current meta, regression has been gutted and now the game is completely binary.

In that case, can't an arguement then be made for BHVR removing all items that speeds up gen repairs, other than perks?

it depends on how much toxic and effective you want to be, but without toxic builds you can just spawn in a gen and repair. If the TR appears and you have time to finish just continue repairing and tank a hit to complete the gen (even if you get downed the killer needs to hook more times than gens need to be done). If you dont have time run before the killer is close and watch him when he leaves the gen come back to it.
If he chooses to chase you he will need to cover a FAR distance because you ran away as soon as you heard the TR, so you will just keep running to already done gens and looping there. If you see that you will get downed go into a locker or die in a edge of the map to increase the travel time the killer needs to get to a hook. Meanwhile your teammates are gen rushing.

But then what would toolboxes do? Sabo would have to be buffed to hell and back, and I can already take a guess that people wouldn't like that either.
