Love/Hate this game as survivor

I'm addicted to trying to get better as a survivor at this game but the win/loss has to be 25% if not less. It makes me more frustrated than excited. The wins are fun though. My question is how many times do I have to DC to have a permanent life ban? Is it possible? I would just quit but I always think to myself that maybe today will be fun... I'm usually wrong.

I swear from the way you people talk about DBD I feel like I'm playing a completely different game.

    Its really never that serious.

Once you become more experienced, the games tend to be more fun. I enjoy looping killers now because I had so much practice and don't really care if I win anymore. Try and find enjoyment in the fact you're wasting so much of the killer's time whilst your teammates are on gens (unless you're in solo queue)!

How are you averaging only a 25% escape rate as Survivor though? I haven't even reached that low in solo queue.

I mean, you could just take a break and play killer. Your mile my vary depending on what perks you have, but it's a nice vacation if you're broken by a loss streak.

    2100 hrs.

I'm not claiming I win most of my games in solo-queue, but 25% is a very extreme number.

it does depend on the perks you use and the way you know how to utilize chases and loops. coming from somebody who's mained survivor since DS was the most broken perk in the game, im so much better at the game because of years of experience and learning. plus, the only reason why im not in the high ranks is probably because i dont take this game seriously unless the killer camps/tunnels. but these are the perks i use in a build i call: The Solo Queuer Build

Windows Of Opportunity: This perk, even after my years of experience, helps me so much in chases especially after the cooldown removal. it is such an underrated perk and it is so wonderful for people like me who have a terrible memory. WoW lets me know where a pallet and window is, and that lets me determine whether i should use it to my advantage to gain distance or to lengthen a chase as I would know where to go next.

We'll Make It: This perk is the best healing perk (imo) for solo survivors, as unhooking lets you gain an INSANE healing speed for a minute and a half, even better, it resets the duration whenever you unhook somebody while its duration is still on-going. it counters perks like Sloppy Butcher, and more. sure it doesn't provide self healing, but it certainly helps healing up your teammates so you guys can go back to doing generators.

Lithe: Not the best exhaustion perk, but Lithe is an excellent perk best utilized to gain huge distance, discourage the killer from chasing you, and to lengthen a chase. pair it up with windows of opportunity and you have a great chase build! not really much to say on this perk as it just takes the slot of "take an exhaustion perk, you'll need it"

Kindred: Kindred, is honestly my favorite perk right now as a Solo Queue only player. it lets me know what my teams doing, whether the killer is going to me or a different player or just camping. it also lets my team do the same if im on hook, and it lets them see whether or not someone is coming to get me or not, or who's being chased, etc. its a great perk to have for solo queueing as its a great universal aura reading perk. if your team sees the killer camping, they know to prioritize gens and probably have 1 player try to get me. its an all-around awesome perk, even if i think it should be base-kit.

I call it the Solo Queuer Build because, well, it seriously helps solo queueing. I've noticed i win SO many more games now and play so much better after running these 4 perks and i haven't done anything since! as long as you know how to play around each perk with them together, you are good to go!

not really, I'm in the same neighbourhood hours wise, 70-ish % surv and in solo Q I escape maybe one or two in ten matches at this point. Granted, about two of those are lost causes due to one surv giving up for one reason or the other term seconds in - but they're still losses. And most people I know have similar experiences.

I don't know, maybe because I'm not as good you. And sadly my teammates are worse. I'd someone does get out, it's not me because I end up being the one trying do everything. Not everybody is real good which means I should play against a killer near the same level. It's not even close sometimes

    Just play another game.

The longer you can stay in other games the easier it is to forget about this game.

I wouldn't think so. My solo escape rate is 27% and I've been playing for a few years. I don't count hatch in that though, since the game considers it null/invalid and not an escape. When you consider that last year the devs put survivor escape rates at around 40%, and said that playing with friends can apparently increase your chances of escape by "up to 15%", I don't think 25% for solo is extreme at all. We undeniably make up the bulk of killer kill rates.

Don´t know my escape rate but as Solo surv it is also not very high.

But i play quite risky and am not the best looper.

At the moment games are often vs new killers who sometimes chase one the whole match and i escape untouched or against pretty good killers with some insta dcs.

Close games happen but not so often.

We all develop a love hate hate relationship with this game. It's strangely addictive, no matter which role you favor.

I wish I could say that after a couple thousand of hours it becomes easier. But for me it reinforces the frustration with the lost potential of DBD.

Why DC just because you aren't winning?

I mean the only way to improve is to lose and learn from it.

Only having fun when you win and quitting when you don't isn't really a game problem.

Things don’t have to be life or death to be infuriating. Basketball is just a game but if every time you got the ball it was immediately smacked out of your hand, you’re going to get a little frustrated.

Yes but I'm not going to go beat someone mid game to intentionally get banned from the sport forever, I'm just going to not play.

Exact same boat. Somewhere in the 2k hour range and my solo queue escape rate is easily around 25% if not less. A lot of games I’m lucky if we make it past 3 gens. Played 3 solo queue games yesterday and got face camped in 2 and absolutely destroyed at 4 gens in the third. That’s a pretty average solo q night for me.
