Aight I’m headed out again.
ive played this game for three years straight and across two platforms, I have a total of 600+ hrs.
The helplessness of playing basic M1 killers was so bad that I took an 8 month break. Last month I reinstalled and quickly remembered why I dropped it.
Solo Q is beyond frustrating as you just get tunneled into oblivion by a helpless M1 killer, and the killer experience is so miserable for anyone not using the 5 meta killers and current perk strategy that every match literally just drains your soul. I genuinely have no fun playing this game anymore and think my latest uninstall is final.
I think this game is legitimately gonna die when Behavior inevitably makes killer bots.

Solo queue is brought up so much in discussions but developers don't even care enough to help solve the multitude of issues it presents. As long as it inflates kill rates, they won't bother doing much.

What issues solo q have? I only know about two: still no kindred basekit and braindead / newbie teammates. The first is easy to fix, and the second is not fixed by any buffs, I don't want to upset you.

They have been addressing solo queue issues with the HUD, DC bots, and soon the anti-face camp mechanic.
The only thing they can’t fix is that the average survivor is really bad. And the only way for people to fix that is if they get better. BHVR can’t make them suddenly good.

No, just improve the quality of life for killers who aren’t the top 5 meta, and suddenly basic M1 killers won’t feel the need to tunnel people immediately to have a shot at winning….

No form of in-game communication which is critical against killers like Legion, we can't see other survivor's perk loadouts, survivors randomizing perks for fun and draining my sanity along with it, etc.
Can't think right now, need some sleep tbh.

I’m not saying it’s perfect or that there isn’t still more to do (seeing perk load outs should have always been a thing), but saying they don’t care or that they aren’t bothering to do much is just flat out wrong.

Same goes for killer. They need to stop complaining and get better.
They're gonna complain until everyone loads in on a hook and dies.
All they want is nerfs because they can't win.
If my 10 yo niece who plays killer on my account can win with spirit as a newb I don't think there is much of a problem. She's just good at gaming in general.

People can comment if they want because it's a public forum and you nor anyone else is entitled to tell them to not respond, I'm gonna go ahead and say it because no one else is but nobody is forcing anyone to play a bottom of the barrel killer that the devs have already stated were made for beginners which is your basic m1 killer, there are plenty of other killers to choose from and if you have any type real time invested in this game then expecting to take a low level killer into a high rank and win consistently is just ridiculous, You're basically mad that you can't take the worst in the whole game and wreck an experienced survivor group, Its not like every killer on the roster is basic m1 you have more killers not basic than the ones that are why limit yourself?

Are they bothering though? Matchmaking has still been the main topic of discussion for a long time and there's been no update on it. The HUD doesn't help in the slightest if your teammates don't pay attention. The anti-face camp helps SWF equally as much as solo queue and DC bots are the only feature that helps solo queue in reality.
Once BHVR fix matchmaking or add an in-game communication system to fill in the gap between solo queue and SWF, that'll change my mind.
