Remove hook destruction on sacrifice!
I'm carrying someone on my shoulder during those screenshots and every time, half of the map is BARREN, there are 0 hooks. How is it possible for this stupid game-breaking mechanic to still exist in 2023???
You get a down as a killer, but you can't... kill... This is a horrible mechanic and it should be removed asap.

It's impossible to tell from these images. In general if something is in your "line of sight" you won't see the aura for it, including hooks. That being said, there's always a chance something messed up in your game,etc.

I like it from a macro decision perspective, as it only punishes people who are too foolish to plan for the future, which is rare and good.
At the same time if they announced this was the next dated mechanic to go like anti-facecamping kobe and hook grabs, I wouldn't shed too many tears.

If anything, they should have it be like sabo, where the hook drops...but comes back after a bit.

Dude, you have already killed everyone in your screen shots. If you showed me this after just a kill you might actually have a point.

wdym it's "impossible" the hooks are literally marked with red circles 🤣 Look at all that empty space without a hook.

The issue is you're standing in the open. As long as a hook is visible from you to it, it wont show an aura, even if its obscured by fog! If this was on an indoor map, or looking at auras through a wall, then it would mean something, but for all we know theres 5600 hooks just out of sight through the fog.
