Bring back 5 second decisive stun
decisive hardly gets used anymore because of how many times it got nerfed, which it did need to be nerfed because of how op it used to be but now it’s almost unusable, the five second duration was where it was best at because it gave the survivors ample time to get away from a tunneling killer, the 3 second duration is basically nothing and if you don’t have a pallet nearby you’re simply just dead again, especially against high mobility killers like nurse, blight, even demo and his shred etc. with all the nerfs and it’s specific usability I think it should still have its five second stun

Against any killer it gives you a little more leeway into where you can go, don’t just go straight to the nurse to diminish what I’m trying to say

Now that you cant stack enduring perks, Dead Hard was nerfed, and Conspicuous Actions are a thing, I wonder why its still 3 seconds.
Are they worried that people will still try to use it offensively?

With how niche a use it has now, yeah, it should have its old stun back. The 5s stun would actually make it THE anti tunnel perk, and really punish killers that do it.

When the nerf was implemented I wasn't against it, but looking back on it it's probably the moment tunneling started growing in popularity because killers weren't scared of DS anymore. If the threat of a 5s stun is what it takes to reduce tunneling then I'm all for it coming back.

Killers say use OTR but you get hit through basekit bt anyways so in most situations OTR is very useless

Don’t I know it i miss the old ds so much even ds endgame was fair imo if you haven’t earned the kill in the game you haven’t earned it by tunnelling end game behaviour just want this game easy mode for the killer side yeah you’ve made it to end game how about we disable your perk makes perfect sense apparently

My point exactly decisive strikes whole counter is just going for the unhooker instead of the unhooked but killers don’t seem to get that at all

End game turned off is IMO fair change. But 3s stun with 1s animation? Go back to 5s or at minimum disable whole DS animation and stagger

Yeah I think it’s dumb it disables at end game, if you still have ds by the end of the game then it’s only fair you get to keep it

Well unless we're talking about also altering the atrociously fast potential gen completion speed and/or reducing map safety in general, you may as well forget about DS getting reverted or buffed.
"Tunneling," "Camping," "Slugging," it's all a cluster of terminology made-up and clung to by entitled people pissed that they didn't win i.e. Scrubs.
The only piece of terminology made-up by scrubs that has any credence in the grand scope of the game is "face-camping."

Yeah it’s correct terminology because that’s what it is, and they are completely valid ways to play, survivors just need more of a way to counter these play styles otherwise it’s unfair for certain people to live very long and have potential at winning a match

Not every killer kit has the power to do that.
DbD operates under a one-size-fits-all system. Some kits must kill whomever they come across or they fall flat and until that changes for the better, imposing harsh punishments based on the feelings of survivors is a no-go. What you want IS feasible, but other factors have to fall into place first.

Agreed. A lot of killer and survivor perks need buffs so we can have more fun. I've grown tired of nerfing things to the point where they're useless. That's so boring.

Yeah, but when ds was 5 second all i see is unhooked survivor bodyblocking unhooker even if he is healthy. It was not perk only against tunneling, it was also perk against killer who plays "fair". SWF with 4 ds who just takes hits for each other because they have active ds was a nigthmare.
Current ds is absolutely fine if u r good looper and don't get down in open field. That's why best survivors even on tournament still using it. Because it still buys a lot of time in the right hands if killer tunnels you. The only difference is, you can't abuse him like you used to before, bc it's too risky. And that's great.

Bro we aren’t playing tournaments and most of the community is casual players I’m a good looper and still find decisive strike to be pretty much useless and yeah balance the game around swf when again most of the community is solo queue

Eh, I'm in the camp that a slugging killer is better than a tunneling one, at least the killer is chasing other survivors and having to make some kind of value assessment. Tunneling is just boring, for everyone. Killers don't like having to do it, and Survivors certainly don't like enduring it.
When as a survivor when you get face camped and hardcore tunnelled, having at least the threat of a huge stun would be something.... And the joy of a face camping Bubba getting hit with a Deliverance/Basekit Borrowed time/Dead Hard/Decisive Strike combo as 5 gens pop around him is just glorious.

Wouldn’t be a problem if killers don’t have to resort to tunneling, all this does is discourage killers from tunneling and go after other survivors

"Exploited" by comboing it with a meme build and giving up all the stun distance, exhausting yourself, and having no anti-tunnel protection for the rest of the match? Seems like a fast way to throw a match into a 3v1 as survivor.

The only reason they nerfed them was because they are “meta” which makes no sense to me, if people like using certain perks why not let them use it

Remove the skillcheck while you're at it, it only works once in a game and half of the time it's a dead perk, that skillcheck is so unecessary
