Quick tips for Oni Flicks
Owned him since release but only now getting to the end of all Steam achievements and while I watched videos on how to do flicks, I am struggling to actually put them into practice.
Any quick tips would be much appreciated as I just don't seem to be getting flicks right a lot of the time.
Thanks!

I struggled with DPI increases as I came from FPS games so I have always had a very low DPI.
When you say "adjust mid-flick" are you actually flicking your mouse in the direction you want to go? As I note that he kinda auto aims to some extent on survivors

Basically when you're looking up or down in a loop when you wanna 180, you're tilting your mouse abit. and when you do flick you can also move left or right for a split second to adjust the hit.
Sorry if how i worded what i said confused you lol. i used to play alot of fps tho back in the day with high Dpi so i got used to playing with High Dpi

I often strafe sideways when prepping a dash slam. The limited rotation he can swing in is offset by strafing sideways. It opens up that left/right to a wider angle.
Its hard to word but I have been strafing since he was released and found him easy to slam survivors even on console.
Another tip is bring Brutal Strength. It’s a counter to pre dropping survivors. Like Clown.

Good Oni Tips:
If you're looking to Flick. up your DPI in-game and or on your mouse (if you can change it) but not too high, find a perfect DPI. it varies between everyone, (i play at 9k dpi for example)
When you're shooting for a flick. either look up or down before you turn so you can adjust mid-flick and get that 180,
Not really much but its moreso practice..

Hmm yeah I am only strafing as I saw on vids they said to never use W once your demon dash is charged/active. But I cant get those sharp turns on corners like I see others doing when they "flick"
I can get survivors caught out of position easily but not able to get them the second they round a corner which is what those who flick correctly are doing

The full 180 flick is an exploit but it's pretty easy to hit your turn cap with even slow mouse sens.

Yes I have seen tips on how to do this but I am not really looking to exploit, just the 90 deg flick is all I need to get down

Are you using a mouse or controller? and are you having issues hitting the flick or just hitting the turn cap?

Thanks, I tried to up to 2400 DPI which is about the most I can stand and its painful but I can see how it does help, so I will just have to adjust. Think I get it, just need to practice it... a LOT more lol

On PC and using mouse... kinda having trouble doing both but I am trying to learn to deal with much higher DPI than I am used to (normally 800 but trying 2400). I guess I just need to keep practicing till I get it
