What would you say if Deathslinger had a 28 meter Terror Radius?
I don't like his current 32 metres honestly because it gives Survivors too much time to react, but giving him a 24 metre Terror Radius could prove troublesome only because Monitor & Abuse exists, so how about 28 metres? It's time that we break from the 24 / 32 metre Terror Radii and experiment a little.

I do just fine on Wesker with the 32m radius, I don't think it's as big of a handicap as people like to suggest.
If you want it smaller, M&A exists. That's why all perks exist, run a perk that helps you or allows you to work around a problem you have.

Wesker has a 40m radius, which can also make survivors more complacent being within the 40m radius, and only get spooked once the 16m terror radius kicks in.
Try some Undetectable Perks, Trail of Torment might be a nice one, especially with its upcoming Buff. Dark Devotion can be hit or miss, and you need to get in chase with the Obsession, Injure them, then immediately break chase to maybe get a hit in on a Survivor unaware.
There are not too many Undetectable Perks, and there is certainly room for them in future releases.

I thought they moved his radius out there because every Slinger everywhere ran M&A on him back then, allowing him to land shots before survs even knew he shot at them.

Not really a fan of this. BHVR wants to be consistent with their Terror Radius (granted, Deathslinger is the only Killer with 32m while being only 4.4m/s). But all of their Terror Radius-ranges are multiplications of 8. (16 for Myers Tier 2, 24 for most 4.4m/s Killers, 32 for Standard and 40 for Wesker)
Also I dont really want to see a Deathslinger with 20m Terror Radius when using M&A. In general, I never really got why he was at 24m to begin with. Huntress gets a big Lullaby to announce her presence and Deathslinger was the stealthiest guy ever.

He's fine where he is until bhvr is willing to do a decent rework imo he's so extremely chase oppressive that he needs to be bad in all other aspects

because time efficiency? if you land get initial m1 hit, you can spear to get quick 2 hit combo. with current TR, you have to fire 2 shots every time leading to guaranteed reload time waste. TR was a way to preserve his ammo and make 1 bullet gun more effective.

I would prefer their TR remain the same.
I like being able to use Starstruck on Slinger.

He is a long-range killer, his TR is fine as is. If you'd like you can put on Monitor and Abuse?

I don't really see Deathslinger needing any major changes. He feels pretty good to play as right now. If you want to be stealthy there are plenty of builds to accommodate this including addons.

That's not quite right. Myers also has a 6 metres TR in tier 1 according to the game itself. Only that now that undectable exists it doesn't have any effect anymore. Also, DIstressing grants a factor of 1.26 to the normal TR (+8.32 metres). So there is precedence of them modifying the TR outside of multiplications of 8.

The difference is that while Huntress has a large lullaby, she can also hit survivors from much farther away. Deathslinger can never hit anyone further than 18 meters away.
I think 28m TR would be fine, but only if they also gave him a 28m lullaby to go with it, which would make Monitor pointless since no perk is capable of affecting lullabies. I agree with you that he shouldn’t be able to get his TR down to 20m without a lullaby.
Also, there is an exception to the “every terror radius is a multiple of 8” thing and it’s Huntress - her terror radius is 20m (but with a 45m lullaby). So it wouldn’t be unprecedented.

Huntress has a 20 metre Terror Radius (45 metre lullaby) and Sadako has a 24 metre Terror Radius while being 4.6m/s.
