Rise in survivor teammate toxicity?

Recently I've had a massive rise in survivor teammate toxicity such as teaming with the killer after you save them and stuff, it really ruins the game more than anything for me but It never used to be that common but now I'm seeing it every day at least once and it's making me want to quit. Has anyone else noticed this? It's also annoying when you're the teammate that's the most altruistic and the killer sides with the one who's been hiding the entire game and hits u on hook and nods and stuff with the other surv but this is usually the teammate who gets hatch. Killers why do you promote this?

Players w Bond have been extra toxic, lately.

Had several matches w players using Bond to get close to others just to follow them around, stalking them, the whole match, and copy everything they do (eg. walking, running, crouching, pointing, on/off gens, in out of lockers etc., everything, exactly); also intentionally, repeatedly, purposefully failing multiple skill checks on gens, then sneakily dipping when the killer shows up, so the other players get chased instead.

Bond players doing nothing the entire match, who wait out the deaths of teammates, then lead the Killer directly to the other remaining Survivor (who actually played the game) to sandbag them and somehow get the Killer to give them hatch. Surprised how many times I’ve seen this work in their favor, and the other players just suffer the wrath of these ruthless little Bond hooligans.

Also; this was frustrating: (CoH isn’t worth it anymore, so I use Inner Strength often) Twice, I’ve had Bond players point me out in a locker, then repeatedly attempt to open the locker while I was getting a heal. Had them corner me cleansing totems, then hold me hostage there til the Killer arrived, too.

    Just nonsense like that.

Toxicity in ppl and the one perk that empowers their shenaniganistic ways, smh.

I hadn't played in a few days and hopped on yesterday. Had a game where a Laurie unhooked me while carrying Pinhead's box, then proceeded to solve the box immediately right there and bring Pinhead to us. Of course he went for me, the injured one, and Laurie didn't even try take a hit or take aggro, she just immediately hopped on a nearby gen and left me to it. I'm positive it was an intentional sandbag. My desire to play completely left me at that point. I put up a half-a**ed chase, just wasnt feeling it anymore, and turned off the console after that game. Team mates can truly be terrible.

The locker thing happens to me all the time when I use Built to Last. Rather than waste time running to another tile, I can jump off a gen and just hop in the locker next to it. But if there's another survivor on that gen, there's a good chance they'll either stop and just stare in judgement at the locker or they'll repeatedly try open it. There are so many locker perks these days, you'd think they'd learned to cope with it by now.

Yeppers, exactly. They form an idea in their head about you being in the locker, and then wrongfully retaliate against that idea w/o ever knowing how far off from reality they were; potentially bringing down the team, possibly even the match, in the process. Bizarro world teammates, smh

Couple days ago I had a match against the Shape with the tombstone add-on. He caught Yui off-guard pretty early on. I can’t remember all of the details but Jill died while I was on my first hook and that left Feng Min who I swear was working with him. While I was on the hook I could see her literally just running back and forth and she didn’t pull me off until after I hit stage two. After that, the killer kept downing me and having her heal me so he could down me again. I kept running away to show I wasn’t playing their version of the game, but eventually I had to let her do it so we could finish gens. I thought maybe he was gonna be decent and let us both go but after I opened the gates - which he prompted me to do - he immediately went tier 3 and killed me via the the add-on. It was literally being held hostage.

Side note: I’ve had games where people disconnected early and such and the killer lets us farm points with them. I also had a game once where I tried to save a Leon from Nemesis by getting in his way after the unhook hoping he’d take me instead. In that game Nemesis ended up letting me finish my gens but he found and killed Leon before I could do anything about it. I hope instances like those aren’t considered working with the killer because sometimes you really don’t know what’s going on in another player’s mind.

If I'm killer and see survivors obviously sandbagging I'll try and punish them. Just the other day I saw someone drop a pallet in another survivor's face and I just kinda looked between them and the other survivor like "what?". Dropped chase and went after him instead. He wasn't unhooked.

Same with bodyblocking. One game I was chasing someone through shack and another survivor just run into the doorway to block em. I just stood there flabergasted and let the first survivor run off while I tunnelled the bodyblocker.

Unfortunatly it can be hard sometimes to know who's in the wrong, I'll usually punish people who rat out other survivors in lockers but sometimes they're ratting them out for good reason like they've just been sitting there all game waiting for hatch.

Yeah I do enjoy punishing sandbagging teammates, but it can be a difficult call to make with your limited perspective. I tend to err on the side of caution with a "that's between ya'lls and the walls" attitude, but if it's extremely blatant, I'll happily make the sandbagger miserable.

Survivor in locker 2 other survivors pointing when I arrived. I hit them both, chased one and left the locker alone.

You just reminded me of a very frustrating Pinhead game I had on the game. I was chasing Bill and later Kate trying to get them to heal me (Mikaela was on one hook away from death and was hiding in the locker lmao, saw it after I was sacrificed) and heal them in return cause we were all insured. And they would just ignore me, get the box and solve it on top of the stairs of the vault that drops you down near the freezer... And there was only one gen left to boot. I don't understand why they decided to throw the game like that.
