Agreeance of 1st hook stage?

Can we all agree that if raise your hands to get off of hook, but don't actually come off hook.

That means that the killer isn't nearby AND no other survivor is going for you?

    Hud is aqesome for that.

If 3 guys are on gens, no one is going.

If someone have those 2 tiny bones moving is in chase.

You should know what is happening more or less.

Also arm lifting should mean "killer camping".

No. There will never be unanimous agreement about what this means. Not least because the majority of players don't engage with the forums or dbd via social media in general, so won't know.

What it objectively means is: I have a button to do a thing and it is the only way I can attempt to either tell you something and/or get your attention.

I run Kindred and I do it when the killer is no where near me and nobody is moving to come get me and I am close to 2nd.

I know they can see where everyone is, so I start waving my arms to see if it gets their attention. 🤣

I'm positive I didn't dream that it was once considered the camp dance?

Nah ... it means "the killer is near, don't come!" clear as day.

In my SoloQ games often happens that players are inactively hiding and nobody comes to save in the end. Maybe they think that the other inactive person is going for save but they can not communicate this.

Have you ever considered to add in-game communication whether in form of phrases or "player intention status"? By intention status I mean that at players' HUD may be icon or text symbolizing what are they going to do. For example: looking for generator, looking for heal, going for save, securing player during chase etc.

You see I'm opposite to that. I've always stayed dead still if they're camping, and then I wave my hands like a madman when the killer is nowhere near.

But Hud does not show if killer is camping or not. SWFs can share this information with each other but it's not possible for solo survivors. Unless you bring the perk.

I usually only start waving around when no one is trying to save me especially when the killer isn’t nearby. It’s my way of saying what the heck are you guys doing?! I’m dying here! I’ve hit second hook stage (or just plain died) so many times because ppl are either sitting on gens or doing god knows what.

When the anti-camping feature eventually comes out, hooked survivors will progress slower when the killer is nearby.

I wonder if this could then be displayed on the HUD, by a visual difference between normal and reduced sacrifice speed? Maybe the bar turns yellow instead of red?

That makes sense and passive HUD is truly wonderful solution.

But are you planning any further improvements on communication between SoloQ players? I feel like having some ability to make a call would be a huge help in my games even if I was the only one using it. But I truly believe that advanced players would make a good use of that pretty fast.

I personally think a communication wheel would've been more helpful. The HUD icons were nice, but all it really did was lead to disappointment. I still get solo queue teammates that will be opening chests while I'm on hook nearing 2nd stage, or cleansing a random totem with 1 gen left when the killer is pressuring gens. It would be nice like DBD mobile where you can tell people to do gens or go for saves or not.

Getting left on hook at endgame collapse when my teammates have 1 to no tallies even. lol

I think those 2 mechanics can work altogheter in harmony. Active communication can replace voice chat for people who are willing to use that.

    EDIT:

Active Communitaction Feature should be more self-based instead of telling other people what to do IMHO. I would like to think for my own but be informed of other players' intentions.

Unfortunately even with communication those teammates would still play like that.

Having a communication wheel wouldn't help with that. They'd still just do a chest or totem instead of saving you and people playing like that are probably not the kind of players to use a communication wheel or pay attention when someone else does.

Solo queue can be given loads of tools but at the end of the day bad/selfish players are gonna play exactly the same way they do now, sad to say.

Now i couldve sworn that if ur on hook u can tell if ir being camped or being rescued by looking at the hud.

For example, if ur bar is glowing red around the borders in and out, that means a survivor is near your hook. The same also applies if a killer is very near your hook too. I feel like i seen that before

Has always been a subconscious thing as a new player... but I tend to use it to wave at the killer more often than not xD

... None of them care... they hook me again anyway 😔

Judging off other games, I wouldn't rule it out. Rocket League has a lot of little rules people made up (Rule 0, Rule 1, Left Rule) which get carried out quite often in game despite having a large community. Who's to say the same won't happen here :)

    Maybe because it hasn't.

This isn't a new idea, it's been brought up regularly for as long as the game has been live. There's no reason it wouldn't already be a thing if it was ever going to be.
