A Skull Merchant?

I mean these teams have 4 outted against wraiths. Twins. Trappers. Bubbas. All being pretty high tier (for collab videos) and everytime one of those videos pop up "its just the very best survivors" now that a killer almost wins that isnt nurse blight or spirit? (Real crap) but this is the same as those cases. Very good killer. Very good survivors.

The Skull Merchant actually won cause she mentally tormented the survivors for almost an hour

Feel like the best to find a way to buff the base power in a way that would be incompatible with gen kick perks, kinda like how you can't use em with ruin.

Disagree.
The Killer wasn't especially good. That isn't a knock on them, but they only have about 800 hours and zero comp experience.
If a, we'll be generous and say good, pub Killer can hold Team Eternal (the very best Survivors, like you said) in a 50 minute hostage lobby and nearly win, maybe those people who have complained about her being impossible to win against in pubs weren't lying.

I have run into 3 average Skull Merchant in the last week. I am sure it will be more after these videos.

And then right after you can watch the 1.2K Blight winstreak.
You know, just to be fair lmao

Why are we having a killer vs survivor passing match? A killer change doesn't have to be a bad thing to anyone. The idea is just to tweek it to avoid these long games, but that doesn't mean this killer can't become something interesting. We've seen the devs do reworks b4 without JUDGE slamming down the nerf hammer and calling it a day.

Reworking a killer and redesigning a map are two major different things, man. You cant compare the two. For one thing, no one pays for the maps. You don't buy a dlc for the map since the map is there for everyone in non-custom games. Also coming up with a new power would take more than just a few months in dev time. Clearly, you have no idea what goes in when developing things for a game and the time it takes to do things. A kill-switched map for a few months vs a kill-switched killer for a year or more are not comparable.

she didn't have opportunities because knightlight/petro body-blocked for Dan to protect him from dying. if skull merchant tried to chase Dan outside 3 gens, she would lose 3 gen faster.

I never said anything about SWF. You were the one who brought up Hens' escape streak, for some reason.

They brought it up, so I countered to make sure they understood that both sides can go on massive win streaks.

I didn't mention anything about win streaks. You did.
@Reinami asked for a match where Team Eternal lost to a Killer not playing a top-tier. I provided that, but it wasn't quite what they were looking for. They then clarified that they wanted a pub match, to which I said that they don't really play in pubs. KnightLight and Zaka play Killer in pubs, but Team Eternal as Survivors, don't really play pubs.
Then you came in and said, "Hey, look at this Survivor win-streak, where are the SWF nerfs?!" You did not reply to me.
Do not use me as an excuse when I did nothing of what you said. You wanted to mention Survivor winstreaks and that's fine, own it though.

Survivor vs Killer arguments go nowhere, you know this. No matter how busted something is, you'll have ppl arguing against a nerf. In this case however, simply nerfing skull merchant to make it cannon that she has a bum knee and therefore can't kick gens isn't the way to go.
Feel like they need to pull a Freddy and do a whole rework while keeping the spirit of the character. THAT kind of conversation is a fun one rather than an argumentive one.

They said they'd rework Twins as the very next killer after Legion and Ghostface almost 1 1/2 years ago. So what they say and what they do can be 2 very different things. And in the chance that they are already working on a solution to Dull Merchant there are 2 more issues.
1) Time. For BHVR to make big changes to a killer it always takes a lot of time. So until they eventually fix her, we'll still be stuck with this atrocity the way she is.
2) She already got a rework. They had all the feedback from the PTB and still added her to the game in that state. Knowing that a majority of players despised her. Then, they reworked her but they didn't take care of the actual issue. Instead, they somehow made it worse. And adding more ways to contest a 3 gen will punish every other killer as well in the process, when the issue is not 3 gens in general (not after the nerfs to CoB, Overcharge and Eruption) but one specific killer.
Eventually they will have to deal with the monster they created but looking at recent history you can't really blame anyone for being sceptical.

I think most reasonable people know she needs a rework that would basically involve scrapping her entire current kit. Some people are against that because they find these matches fun.
Even if they were to commit to that, it took Freddy 2 or 3 years to get that rework. She cannot be allowed to remain in this state for that long.

Unironically skull merchant should be killswitched until a rework comes out

hopefully the devs take action, a killer almost won a game. im shook.

Riiiiight. So my point still stands. Show me a single game where a comp team as survivors loses against a killer who isn't playing nurse blight or spirit and the survivors are actually trying to win, not doing a stupid youtube challenge for clicks. Killer can be doing any other god awful thing you want. But it can't be some tournament or anything where they are heavily restricting what the survivors can bring.
I'll be surprised if you can actually find even 1 but even if you can, that team probably won 20+ other games before they lose that one.

Her drones need to go
She needs a completely new power
And I am talking about a rework bigger than what Freddy received a few years ago
1 -
Yes it would

Here.
This also happens to be the same comp team I had the chance to play against. With restrictions, Wraith won. Without restrictions, Wraith won.
Against Team Elysium, he got a bit unlucky in a couple spots and lost; Eternal also had the advantage of knowing what he could do after seeing the previous games. A lot of the Wraith's mistakes here seemed to me to be not understanding the difference between comp and public games. He took it a little too easy in some places and figured he'd be able to make it up later.

I feel like her drones themselves should stay, but what they do and how she uses them should be changed. That way thematically she's the same, but how you play her is still changed.

The suggestion I keep offering to 'fix' SM, is when a drone is hacked, it leaves a 'phantom' drone at its location. That 'phantom' drone is just there to prevent another drone to be placed there while the shoulder tracker is still on the Survivor. That means if you want to camp your area of choice, you have to chase the tracked Survivor and down them, or wait out the 45s, before you can put another drone back on that same location.

Speak for yourself. I ran against one that bolted the closest 3 gens stayed there and refused to leave the entire match. When I gave up, she denied hooking me and then proceeded to molest a Dwight.
