Why so many survivors think they are invisible and crouch wherever?
Is this a new trend or was this always like this? I just recently started playing killer more often so I don't know.
Today I had a game where blendette jumped out of the window and crouched immediately not moving while I'm looking at her. Okay maybe that was a bad example because blendettes are tough to see sometimes. I see people not even wearing appropriate outfits do it. It is hilarious how many survivors don't even try to hide properly they just crouch in plain sight.

Possibly due to the new lighting and thinking they’re sneaky ninjas.

It's not that I usually think I'm invisible; more often than not I'm trying to stay out of your FOV

It's mostly claudettes from what I've seen. They begin to get too confident with their invisibility and use it in places where it really doesn't work.

Don't listen! You are invisible. Just stay exactly where you are, i'm revving my chainsaw at that fly over there...

For every one time you caught one, you missed one 5. Seriously, I am always shocked at how many killers walk right by.

Yeah you'll only ever notice the ones that failed. Crouching reduces how much of you is visible and reduces the sounds you make too.

Funny thing is that this is true by definition since you can't know about the ones you don't find

Bubba just wants to play.
Anyway the ones I don't see crouching do it properly and at the right place. You can't crouch in the middle of the chase If I see you or out in the open with rainbow clothes.

They are suffering from a sudden onset of stomachache

"I blend..."

Honestly, yes and no. I see alot of people doing it right infront of my face when playing killer, but when playing survivor I also experience alot of killer who just walk by me when I crouch right infront of them too. Maybe they are not paying attention, or they play the game on low resolution, because of the horrible optimisation. Either way it often works. I would rather hope that the killer doesnt see me than definetely get into a chase, and maybe gain a 2 metre advantage.

Because most low rank killers are blind and have no tracking skills.

These people are in red ranks tho.

If you've got a good position and arent being actively looked for, sometimes they miss you completely.
A lot of killers are like a T-rex. Hunting vision is based on movement.

It doesn’t leave scratch marks, and standing/walking just makes it more obvious.
I used to see many people run urban but nowadays not as much. I honestly don’t know how there are people who does it the entire match though...
Regardless, survivors think it’s just another way to hide. Crouching behind an object, crouching around, etc.
I can’t do it though, I’m too impatient. 80% of the time I will be running in my matches lmao.

I love survivors like this. Every time I hit these idiots i simply say "I'm not blind". Hilarious 😂

When I feel I’m losing the chase I sometimes crouch down infront of the killer like I’m pleading ’Please don’t hit me’.

Yeah if they pull it off its rough, but when I see them sticking out from a tree, I just laugh and go, "we can ACT like I dont see you....".

is not only the size of the shape
by moving slower than walking, the killer's eye finds harder to detect you
just remember in Jurassic Park those dinnosaurs that only detected movement

I do it out of habit and because I suck at playing merry go round simulator for 5 gens unless the killers bad.
But on some maps it works wonders if the killers not paying attention, it's the slow moving killers that think like you that see you.
