Devs please for the love of god
Please hurry up with the anti camp mechanic
Comments

This boring anti-gameplay soon will be removed. I can't wait for this day.

😂 You're getting camped
The bar fills you get yourself off the hook the killer follows hits and downs you again.
Back to getting camped this time the killer is smacking you over and over again.
Anti camp mechanic isn't going to do anything
22 -
Unless you have Sprint Burst Bubba can still drop you through Endurance with his chainsaw even with the unhook and being hit speed boost. It does mean survivors will be more likely to stay on gens (unlike Gabriel above so A for effort D for practicality) so that's an improvement but getting camped by Bubba will still suck.
1 -
You do realize the anti camp mechanic will be useless against bubba, right?
5 -
Well gabriel was there healing with nic cage and just went my direction. The bubba ended up with a 2k
0 -
Everyone saying it will be useless meanwhile if you make to a single pallet or good loop you can easily run him for another 30 seconds or so, oh yeah and you also get to do it again on 2nd stage too.
8 -
he playing 4d chess u wouldn't understand
6 -
From getting slugged by a Skull Merchant to getting camped by a Bubba, you're really going through it huh 🤣
3 -
I get way too many bad matches. Just unlucky Tbh
1 -
Should have happened in the last patch.
1 -
Facts
1 -
atleast is gonna allow that player to have a chance to play the game rather that being held hostage for 3+ minutes or to kill themselfs to go to another match to actually PLAY THE GAME.
Goodbye boring bubba facecampers.
4 -
Honestly, I would rather try my luck in the next match then to stay playing with the camper.
They already made the match lame with their boring game play
Truthfully I'd rather just play something else then play survivor camp fest.
3 -
Yes please. Hurry up so we can buff killers again.
8 -
correct me but as far as I've heard, you can only unhook yourself in the 2th phase, meaning that the person would actually be DoH xD
0 -
The word around the campfire is you can get yourself off the hook 2 time.
Tunneled down put back on the hook until your dead.
The punishment for getting yourself off the hook the first time is getting hit over and over again nonstop with head nodding.
0 -
That would be a good thing
1 -
is that 2 hooks total? with 2 gens left?
1 -
What y'all really need to be worried about is the base buff that killers will inevitably receive in return for losing access to hook camping. Wouldn't be surprised if that's what's taking them so long to release it; to decide what base buff to give to killers on return.
0 -
still so weird to me that basically every semi recent killer release has had mechanic put in place to make camping weaker yet bubba remains able to do this, also huntress can easily do the same with double haft .
0 -
But isn't that still better than dieing in 2 minutes without any chance to do anything other than hope someone has reassurance?
It will trigger OTR, so you can unhook yourself at the last second and then still have a 2 health state chase.
Also, hook smacking is the same as teabagging. You shouldn't let it get to you. I know that's easier said than done, though.
3 -
The anti camp mechanic won't even work against bubba though if they're in your face surprise surprise bubba just ignores this feature
1 -
The hook smacking comment was me just being funny. T-bagging and hook smacking nodding doesn't bother me.
The only thing that bothers me is camping and 4 or 5 gens two to three matches in a row. It's makes the game boring to play as survivor and it's why I continue to take/stay on my break.
Isn't that one of the biggest arguments here on the forums running perks to counter something.
Maybe it will work, I don't know. I guess I see it as it's no different then a teammate running in and unhooking right in front of the killer. Seems good on paper, but....
The one positive I see is to keep others from giving up on first hook when they do get camped.

It's going to buy you some time at the very least. You've got 10 seconds to hopefully get somewhere to loop the Killer for a while, and that's way better than just immediately going to the next stage.
2 -
We shall see
When is this coming out?
0 -
Sometime before next June.
0 -
It's going to waste more of the killers time and give you an active agency in doing so.
If that time wasting is significant enough, killers will camp less.
2 -
We shall see.
killers will camp less.
Once a camper always a camper.

Hopefully during alien chapter

I hope so I have been camped for the 4 matches by 2 wraiths a bubba and an Onryo. I don't know how much more I can take.
0 -
Campers camp because it benefits them, it gets them kills, plural.
If camping wastes enough time that they can't get kills, that the other 3 survivors escape, then they won't benefit from it anymore.
4 -
Yes, I understand why they camp. It's my opinion why I dislike camping (that I'm keeping to myself). I don't feel like getting in to some debate over boring game play.
Camper already waste time now standing by the hook doing nothing. They waste time chasing that one player down when the unhooking does happen. What is real going to be the different if you get yourself off the hook or someone else does? It's still going to be wasted time.
0 -
If you get yourself off the hook, then all three other survivors can be slamming gens.
You jump off the hook, you loop the killer for another 30s or so, repeat twice more. You get three times the amount of chase points, you waste another minute of the killers time or more. You've now occupied around 3-4 minutes of the killers time instead of 2 minutes, and NONE of your team mates time. You're getting unhook points, you're getting more chase points, maybe stuns too? You're engaged for the entire game instead of just hanging for 2 minutes until you automatically die, and you leave with a decent score. There's even a chance that you lose the killer during one of those chases and don't get camped to death.
0 -
"decent" score is debatable. but certainly an improvement
0 -
It just seems to good to be true

The devil will be in the details, whether or not it will be easy to cheese the camping gauge by dipping in and out of the exclusion zone. That'll depend on the gauge speed values. And of course, Bubba (and Bubba alone) will still have a chance at burning through your Endurance if he times his chainsaw correctly.
0 -
It's something that I will have to see for myself. I don't know if this was something tested on a PTB already.
Until the release of it I'll have my doubts about it.
0 -
I get why they camp sometimes it the right play but its boring to play vs and players just facecamp with bubba from the start
0 -
That's because it's the wrong anti camp mechanic.
Honestly don't know how they haven't implemented cage of torments premise as standard yet.
0 -
I don't mind being camped endgame but I agree with you on everythingyou said it is boring to play against and the killer will likely have three escapes.
1 -
Along with the basekit Unbreakable probably. Meaning never.
0 -
Because too many will cry about not being able to camp and get easy kills.
DEVS want the camping otherwise they probably would of done the teleporting to another hook.
I also thought about the distance.
How far away can the killer be that they can still camp the hook and deny the bar to fill?
0 -
I can't wait to see it. It's a feature i wanted for a long time and i'm surprise it's not in the game yet (they are slow at fixing core issue and yet they give us awful new portraits nobody asked for).
But... it won't work against this killer and some other who catch up really quick like nurse, blight or ranged killer like huntress who is godlike at camping too.. (yeah that strong killers camp too, even at 5 gens)
But it's the step in the right direction i guess.
0 -
This is my fear as well. They can just tunnel (unless that gets fixed) or proxy camp, no? If they want you out they'll sadly be able to find a way still.
0 -
Yeah, I thought about that too. The killer can deny the bar from filling all together by staying close to the hook allowing the unhooking or they will camp right in the survivors face. Either way yeah that survivor is going back down and on the hook again.
I have my doubts about it.
Oh yeah, Don't forget about the hook smacking and nodding too😂
Where there's a will, there's a way.
0 -
I'd be surprised if it comes to a PTB before Spring lol
0 -
may as well start implementing killer bots too since there won't be any players left
