I Want to be Excited for Alien, But...
I'm scared it will just be another Killer who has some very boring setup-based ability and nothing else of substance. Like I want to be wrong and I hope I am, but it's hard to get excited when we've just had Knight, Skull Merchant AND Singularity back-to-back.
Also if the Killer's name isn't "The Xenomorph", I'll be sad.

Everyone seems to be convinced a Xenomorph power has to involve laying eggs for some reason, but that really doesn't fit with the concept at all. Only the Queen lays eggs.

I mean they're portrayed as the ultimate predator in the movies, I'd be surprised if they weren't chase based.

The xenomorph was never a set-up type of character.
I assume they will likely be either chase or stealth based. maybe a mix of both

What my hopes for Xenomorph are:
- Ability to move very fast and very stealthily, possibly even moving above certain obstacles and on walls.
- Ability to attack from said walls by leaping toward Survivors.
- Ability to use the tail to pierce through Survivors, with the ability to instantly down Survivors if they're hit through a wall.
What my expectations for Xenomorph are:
- Cocoon.
- Egg.
- Acid.
- Some sort of loop denial ability.
This is why I'm scared for the chapter. Something unique would be amazing, but the expectations I have are probably what will happen.

why would you think cocoon and egg? the only way these happen is in a mori.

I would be so happy, if the power consists of walking on walls and ceilings or over obstacles.

I think it would be great if there are eggs all over the map. Killer's first stage is a face hugger. Hugs one survivor who is given a timer before they get mori'd. Then little xenomorph runs around until it downs a survivor and that triggers full grown...
That would be a lot of fun, but I am guessing we'll just have a xenomorph running around a lot like demogorgon. There will probably be pre-placed air duct exits like Onryo's TVs and we get another cut and paste killer. I hope not, but that is entirely what I expect.

I seriously doubt it will have an insta-down ability. Nor should it.

Mm I mean look back at all other killers people have been very excited for..how long did that excitement last? It's one thing to love the character but the gameplay will be DBD pallets, vaulting and chasing survivors. People will get tired of it after a week.

I think if it involves the face huggers we'll be in for a treat. I think Nemesis was honestly the biggest Killer disappointment for me due to him having no weaponry and the zombies being very underwhelming. I do hope Alien doesn't suffer the same fate..

You'll start off as a little thing and work your way up to a full blown xenomorph.

We have collision points for vertical/elevated structures now, from Singularity. If you can attach a biopod to it... why couldn't you theoretically have a killer who can leap too and from those same points?

I would assume the eggs would already be in the game when you load in, as opposed to the Xenomorph laying them. Then the Xenomorph/player can just direct the facehuggers to emerge and hit people.
