Hi, it's ya boy hexy! I haven't played in awhile and just got back I to dbd with a match against plauge. I don't remember anything! Could someone please give me a small recap about Plauges counters

Don't cleanse until endgame. You have now countered Plague.

That’s not always best practice as she starts with a Corrupt fountain now. Plus in solo queue you can’t communicate with other players to avoid cleansing. And if you can’t loop you’re basically exposed all match. She’s not a slow killer.

I’ve only played Plague a few times but when I did after a certain amount of time I would obtain the corrupt purge power even if I hadn’t ingested a corrupt fountain. Is this part of her power now because I don’t remember her being able to do that before I started using her….

if survivors clease on all 5 fountains, the fountains become clean again and plague gets the corrupt purge

You either basically never cleanse till end game or you all cleanse and try to force the fountains to reset. Can’t really do any in between. She does get a red at base but you can outplay it. Generally I’d say it’s better going the no cleanse route but there are some situations I’d go the cleanse path. If you’re in solo queue and someone starts cleansing it essentially forces everyone to. Her corrupt purge is very strong don’t get me wrong, but people typically over exaggerate how much. You can definitely loop a plague with her red vomit by hugging walls tight and forcing her to respect pallets.

- Avoid getting infected unecessarly
- As a strategy avoid cleansing or turbo cleanse to reset the fountains
- Cleanse if, you are dead on hook, need to rescue and plague is camping, it's close to the end game
- Always cleanse on edges of the map or areas with completed gens, to make plague waste more time to get her power
- If you are in the open try to move unpredictably and even crounch in front of her, to delay a full infection, many plagues want a full infection into a hit, so try to get the most amount of time out of the situation
- Watch out for certain add-ons, black incense gives her aura reading every time you vomit, Iri seal gives her free corrupt when a gen is done, her meme add-on Prayer tablet fragment makes her unable to infect by direct hits but makes her passive infection absurdly strong. Add-ons like these punish survivors for never cleansing, so be on look out for these in particular
