no it's not a chase, and the chase isn't even going fast because the wraith just leaves me immediately and then stealths on me again later and gets a down, super skillful and interesting zzzzz

killer’s with actual anti-loops and fun brain plays while in chase. I’d rather go against a god tier Nurse cause atleast she’ll stick chase (and the match will end quickly).
idc if I get a million Weskers because Wesker is fun I want to think smart and predict in chases, hence I’m usually not a fan of a lot of M1’s (not all of them)

Hit and run is one of the better elements of the game and unfortunately only really available to a few killers. As killer it adds an interesting decision making element, do I pursue that survivor for a down, or go after another easier to hit target but risk that survivor getting healed up. As survivor you now have to be aware of where the killer might be, healing becomes extremely important, but risky.
The only real downside to hit and run as a gameplay element is it becomes much easier to deal with as a SWF.
So I don't agree and don't get how people who seem to want the game to be a chase simulator are able to keep playing.
My only real problem with Wraith is his breathing, some players pick this up easily, others can't seem to hear it at all.

Partially correct.
Hit and run works because it works.
Killers like Sadako, Wraith and to some extend dredge do it because of mobility. You can even do that with blight if you want to.
Some killers, despite people telling otherwise, can't chase that much against decent survivors because of their lack of chase power or maps just being like they are.
(just had a game of pig on cowshed with two long tiles spawning directly next to each other... Both with pallets. Right next to that abomination was shack... Yeah...)
Game would be more fun if it was around chase.
However, a map that is fair for an m1 killer means a fiel day for nurse and blight.

Sure... because him racing you to prevent a window vault is the same thing as a sure fired lost chase.

There is no 'race'. Killers are naturally faster than survivors. Wraith is faster than some killers when cloaked. It's not even blocking window Vaults it's literally running with/into you no matter where you try and go, and sometimes even forcing you into walls/holding you at gens where you can't move etc as he unloaks to hit you. It's a busted mechanic and the one thing that makes him such a bore to play against because it feels cheap.

It's utilizing his power in such a way to get hits, same as every other killer in the game. If you got bodyblocked into a gen, I would recommend picking a side of the gen away from a wall. How is this anymore "cheap" than other killers using THEIR abilities in chase to score hits? You make it sound like Wraith's power is stronger in chase than other killers powers.
