I thought this event will remind me of 2018 bbq but it didn't
I kinda looked forward to this and thought it will ignite the old spark or remind me of time I first played dbd. It didn't.
I wish gens were as colorful as before at least I really liked it at the time.
Sorry for the pointless rant.

I'm just disappointed by how rare the offerings in the blood webs are and how little bloodpoints it gives.

Same. I feel like I'll have a great game and get 50k bp, then spend 60k trying to find another offering.

Yeah why do the offerings only give extra bloodpoints from gens and hooks? Why don’t they just do it for everything?

Almost like the Event itself wasnt that great, but the timing was. Summer BBQ came right after 2 amazing patches and a few others right after.
Guess for what ever reason people associated the event with that, doesnt surprise me to see a post like this.

Event offering for some extra bloodpoints and some new challenges "cool". Just something light into alien drop. We just coming off a great anniversary event! I'm not expecting anything big from this one. I think players need to stop complaining over every little thing like this

This was first event i saw when i started DbD. I excited when i heard this event is coming back.
But now i just hate it.
Generators and hooks are so lame. 2018 version generators was much better.
Event offerings are so rare.
It's so hard to get good bp as survivor.
Jake and Clown costumes are so lame as well but it's free content, so i won't complain about this.
But overall, i hated this event. It feels like they did not put any effort for this event.

It has alot of hackers this event already tho, 2 matches today and 1 laggswitcher and 1 speed hacker. I guerss joy from ppl bring out the idiots once again

The event is literally bugged too, I don’t know why no one’s talking about it, the offerings aren’t stacking like they say they are supposed to do

It's nice to see some different visuals than usual but overall it doesn't really feel like an event to me. More like just another day in the fog. Which is a shame honestly as I wasn't around for the first BBQ event.
The offerings are so rare and you get so few BP for each of them it almost makes no difference, the gens are less colorful which is really a shame (and probably something they could fix in like 20 minutes) and the hooks are not too special either. I guess the sizzling sound effect is nice at least.

Yes the gens and hooks looked nicer and the Hillbilly weapon was cool, but that's it.
BP gains were less than now because not every gen/hook was a BBQ one unless everyone brought an offering. And you didn't get any additional BP unless you brought the offering.
Only 2 cosmetic pieces, not even full outfits. Kate's was just a recolour of her default shirt as well.
Unlocking the cosmetics was worse because you could only repair/hook on specific gens/hooks to earn the tokens. Killers were camping the BBQ gens to prevent people from getting the rewards and survivors were saboing the BBQ hooks so killers couldn't get them either. You needed to repair 50 summer gens just to get a Kate shirt.
Survivors BP gains were MUCH worse back then.
The event didn't even have a unique lobby.
This event was always meh. It's a small side event, it's not supposed to be anything special. The only thing it had going for it were the pretty gens.

Just a quick correction.. it wasnt 50 generators. It was 80. Killers also needed 40 hooks to get the hammer
Same thing for the Howling Grounds event
