The thing I kinda envy about the new TCM game.
I'm not gonna go on a tangent about how this is gonna be the DBD killer and all that. We've done that song and dance before, lol. I will say though... it's gotta be nice NOT having a team of 1. How nice it must be to play as killer and ALSO still be the role where you can be chill with friends. That's gotta make things WAY less stressful. Just a random thought that popped in my head.

I also feel like solo queue killer in that game will be borderline unplayable

I looked forward to that game but old gen has no crossplay so I won't play it for now.

Doesn't it have voice chat though?

Yes but I guarantee you most people won’t use a microphone

I was actually contemplating getting a PS5 soon, so... might be a game I pick up. I didn't bother with the evil dead game or Friday the 13th, but this might be a pretty chill party game to fall back on when DBD gets me stressed.

We'll see when it comes out I guess.

i think it is opposite. soloq survivor might become unplayable because if killer are all SWF, you might never win as survivor in soloq because now SWF killer might be too strong.
I can already picture killers finding one survivor and deleting them in 1 minute into the match then you can camp objectives and since there is 3 killer and 3 survivors, the survivor might not be able to progress any escape. if survivor do not progress the objective, then your heartbeat depletes and you start losing health passively. everyone only played the beta where everything was mostly solo but wait till you face 3 man killer SWF in that game is hyper-coordinated and plays every killer optimally.

Solos are always suffers. Here or there, does not matter. Poor solo fellows.

Yeah playing in a team game where premade is possible, will always mean a very big disadvantage for solo players

It's a very common phenomena that lower ranks in games (the majority of any player base) people don't use comms very well or at all. I don't know if there's any MMR system in TCM but regardless I wouldn't expect it to buck the trend regardless.

I remember that was true back in my Overwatch days. Callouts in that game make a huge difference and low rank lobbys had alot of either complete silence or completely useless talking.

I mean, one of the roles really cannot chase the Survivors and is mainly for information. I dont know if they did any changes to the Cook, but from the Early Access, it heavily relies on Voice Comms since your role is to lure the other two to Survivors.
And this is something which only works with Voice Communication and if that is the case, the game will not really have a bright future. Not everyone wants to use Voice Comms to communicate with others.
And furthermore, it makes the game a bit harder to use for STreamers. Streamers cannot risk that there is some "funny" guy who shouts the N-Word into their Twitch-Stream.

Yeah. I wish there was some game mode in DBD with multiple killers and more than 4 survivors too. Something chaotic, utterly unbalanced and fun that let's you play DBD as the party game it once was.
How cool would it be, if you ran away from Ghostface only to be greeted by a Myers? Or sneak up on a gen expecting to find Feng, only to be greeted by 7 Fengs and a Bill staring at you? Actually, scratch that. This wouldn't be funny but pretty terrifying.

You should reconsider. F13 is all but dead, but Evil Dead is a hell of a lot of fun.
I need to play that one more, myself.

Well they did say in the last AMA that they were testing and prototyping new game modes, also that they were trying things out with limited timed events.
Maybe in the future there will some form of 2v8 mode, but who knows.
Personally, i'd love to see dbd bring in the Survivor race mode from Identity V, it looks pretty fun.

This just leads to 7 Fengs chasing Ghostface as he tries to loop them and vault windows to get away.

Evil dead is hot garbage. Survivor is fun but demon is a snore fest of cooldowns, holding your action button, and watching your demons bent over, stunned, and killed in 2 hits. Oh and matchmaking worse than DBD. Nothing quite does it like loading into a match with your new demon only to be matched with fully leveled, decked out survivors.
ED made me appreciate the effort DBD devs put into this game.
EDIT: One thing ED does have better is you get a timeout/ban if you leave 2 or 3 lobbies. So anti-lobby dodge per se.

Traumatizing.

Meh, I only did solo during the test and it was fine. Very easy when everyone's talking, much harder when noone was talking. But just one person (usually myself) giving people pointers (telling HH where to trap, telling cook to start generator, etc...) can make or break a team. But there were times when VC was broken during the test and soloQ killer was as bad as soloQ survivor here lol. Like literally, I'd be Leatherface in the basement and noone turns on the generator (which means people escape out the front gate in seconds).
