Can I get some advice?

Hello. So I have 1200 hours so far most have been playing survivor. I'm trying to get more into playing killer, but I'm having a problem now. I have decided that huntress is my main, and everything was going good till today. Yesterday was fine I was having some pretty chill games, I had some 3-4k matches. Then today happens, and the survivors in facing don't feel the same at all.

Every match I've had with huntress today has felt very sweaty. I'm having a hard time catching up to survivors, they are dodging my hatchets. When I go to kick a gen,and then leave to go pressure a survivor or another gen the Gen I just kicked is immediately being worked on,and gens are popping left, and right. I know when to break a chase. I have been doing everything people/guides have told me to do yet I feel helpless today.

Today I've had to resort to camping just to secure a kill. I hate playing that way. After the match the survivors builds were some of the sweatiest perks like they all had unbreakable/dead hard/ decisive strike. I have no idea what's going on like I said the last two days have been good, but today it's like I'm going up against completely different survivors, and I feel helpless against them. Is it cause it's Friday, and the weekend. I could use some advice. Sorry for the lengthy post.

Reading your post I was thinking 'well, it's Friday/weekend' and then I saw your last few sentences lol my gaming experience on the weekend is so so different to my weekday experience. And not in a good way. Weekends are so sweaty and I'm not a sweaty player so I tend to not play those days.

Maybe you have reached the soft cap of mmr. To play killer requires not just good mechanic also game sense, like if you throw the hatchet you need to identify the survivor skill level first then you can decide whether predicting their dodge or not. Also as a 4.4 killer, her mobility is very bad so kick a gen isn't always a viable action to do.

As a beginner of killer role, try to not consider the game result, insteadly you probably should focus on chases otherwise you will get lost in the 'mmr hell' instead of getting better at the character, you can also watch some killer main streamers who are especially good at huntress (such as coconutrts) if you don't want to stress out. With more experience I am sure you will be getting better and struggle less.

Yea you are probably right. I was thinking like no way is my MMR skyrocketing this much that fast from simply yesterday. I think I'll just play survivor, and wait till the weekend is over to play killer again. I felt all gross resorting to camping.

So what your saying is I should just simply focus on getting better as huntress instead of worrying about how fast the gens are going. Yeah that's a good idea. I feel like the weekends is the wrong time to play killer so after the weekend I'll start practicing with her more, and not worrying about the match till I feel I'm better with her. Like I don't think I completely suck I know how to aim,and hit a survivor, but these survivors were so good they like side stepped lasted minute when I was sniping them, and they did it perfectly everytime like I was facing those bots that perfectly dodge my long distance hatchets.

Honestly, sometimes the more challenging opponents can provide the best learning opportunities. So I wouldn't say don't play on the weekends but maybe more don't be too hard on yourself or have high expectations because it really is such a mixed bag in terms of matchmaking (in my experience anyway). It's Saturday where I am and my youngest asked me to play earlier, so I played 3 games total and 1 was fine but the other 2 were a chore and a half.

Sometimes the game is very stressful especially when you are playing a low mobility killer, there are 4 survivors so while you are chasing one of them, efficient team could work on 3 different gens so if you can't get a down quick enough the game will go fast. Also long range shot is extremely satisfying as the difficulty to pull off is very high, pridiction and hitboxes etc. there are many things to learn so good luck mate, hope you can have fun sooner <3
