about prestige levels with legendaries

let's say my leon is at prestige 3. so if i bought his legendary skin chris and equipped it, would chris be p3 too or would it be from the start, basically 0?

  chris would be p3 as well, overall he's just a reskin for leon so prestige would transfer as such since its not a different survivor.

  as i thought, thanks. i wasn't really planning to buy any legendaries or anything, it's just a random thought that i got out of the blue
