How did the Entity convinced the Xeno to HOOK survivors?

Don't get me wrong, i'm a huge Alien fan and really happy we got it. But for me, the only playstyle which makes sense for an Alien is slugging until the end with a Cypress Memento Mori. Also can't wait to play Ripley and barricade with a lot of flamethrowers and some flashbangs. <3

With each hook i give you a bag of Tuna croquets for cats.

Entity spawned pheromones tell the Xenomorph exactly what to do in order to maximise terror and eventually chipping away at the survivors hope. Easy as pie and another horrible day in the Fog.

Ngl that kinda makes sense especially if you have the custom hooks spread them around

Yeah just ignore that one trying to reconcile the xeno behaviour with the entity's goal is a tricky one.

Best I can come up with is think of it as cocooning them for embryo implantation by a face hugger rather than sacrificing to the entity.

In fact if the hooks were modified to rather than sac people but cocoon them instead, then the hook stages were you spawn an egg, the egg hatches and grabs you, the young alien bursts from your chest as a death animation it'd be great but that's probably a bit much to ask for.

All creatures have some form of communication shared between each individual species; some also cross-communicate.

The entity is fluent in all forms of communication.

Those pulled into the fog who refuse the commands of the entity are overpowered by her and forced into submission and, inevitably, obedience to her every desire

    …sth like that🤷🏼‍♀️

That’s why some of them look ragged. She straight up tortured them repeatedly to near death just to bring them back. That’s actually why there is a theory that Trapper was an unwilling member alongside Sally.

It would take an all powerful being to do it.

They have built on the intelligence and response to conditioning of the xenomorph in the lore, it rarely works though.

Karl Bishop Weyland tried, but it didn't turn out so good.

    It really wouldn't require that.

Also, the entity is "a bit" better at it than bishop

That's my point, the entity being the all powerful being in its nightmare realm could probably convince an intelligent creature like the xenomorph to play ball.

Some basic operant conditioning would do it.

You just can't give it an out or an option for an out... like Weyland-Yutani corp did.

Xenos are hivemind creatures, the entity probably just mimicked whatever the queens use to control them.

It all makes sense now. The Marines all died in the second movie because they didn't jump through windows and run in circles around the corridors.

The devs know the alien's weakness was not heavily armed Marines but a Nancy running windows of opportunity.

How silly Hollywood didn't do their research and those poor Marines died.

Yes, and it’s gonna be interesting to see how in-depth (if at all) the writing/production team goes, involving anything entity related in this upcoming movie. Feeling vibes like they’re keeping it all mysterious.

Wish DBD would’ve been (eventually becomes🙏🏽) a multi-season streaming series. At the least, give us several films plz! We need sth diligently detailed and mentally stimulating, on top of being a gore-filled, fun ride, scream-fest.

Entity fooled it into believing its a queen

It's already been said, but drones were manipulated into cocooning/hanging people in designated areas, this isn't far removed from that. I'm sure the entity could influence them in the same manner as a queen.

We don't have an official answer, but there are likely possibilities as to how and why if we remember just what The Entity is capable of in the first place.

Given the power scale and abilities of The Entity, it's not unrealistic or unthinkable that it's more than capable of tricking a Xenomorph into Servitude, after all it's already gotten a Demogorgon to do it's bidding as well.

Nemisis sees the Entity as it's boss now, and besides, the entity has been shown being able to manipulate killer power.

Demogorgon was a straight up trade, and does as the Entity commands.

Michael Myers showed up and just does his thing. It's not even unfeasable, in the movies he is shown now and then to hang people up on objects, so this is literally just the norm for him, and it works for the entity so it doesn't do too much about it.

I was about to say this, but others already said it. Not sure if you ever watched the movies or just forgotten, but most of the aliens the male ones capture the humans. They try to not kill them cause they want to drag them to the queen for cocooning. Hooking them is like no different then then pinning a human to a wall so above all other killers it makes more sense for xeno.

I was gonna say that maybe the Entity offered a place for the Queen and the other aliens to colonize, but then I realized that we just got a regular xenomorph instead of her. So now I'm not too sure.

Anyone read the lore in PTB, maybe there's a lil hint in there? I'm on console so i have to wait.

But i really like the new hook design i saw earlier, makes a bit sense at least.
