Who likes playing trapper?
I don't really main him but I find him to be really fun to play sometimes. I do think it would be better if he started with all his traps, but that is just me.

I love playing Trapper.
I don't mind not starting with all of his traps because it makes sense with how easy it would be for him to just trap up the first person caught - you actually need to plan where to place traps when you're limited to how many you can carry at a time.
I do think his traps should be more accessible and not in random dead zone corner of map. I also think traps need to blend more with the different maps since we now have wicked bright maps and since reworks we have very little to no ground cover - this not only makes it easy to spot a trap but also limits the placement to predictable areas.

I love him. the trap catching a survivor is one of the most satisfying sounds in dbd.
and that is not just you, it's everyone who plays trapper.
also, wish we could have dark grass on all maps.

I do but only because we don't have Jason yet

He can be fun against average Survivors but you are going to be absolutely miserable against good ones, especially with MFT and the vault changes.

I would either like to be able to start with all the traps or carry any amount of traps. Backtracking to similar areas to pick them up gets old quick.

Didn't even think about that. You are right lol that would be awful.

Half the killers are like that sadly :/ unless you are playing Nurse or Blight of course. Maybe Spirit and Wesker?

I'm playing him at the moment and I always enjoy trying to make him as unpredictable as I can, bearing in mind his power is fairly straightforward.
His add-ons do offer some differing playstyles, but what is fun is to use him as a shephard and herd survivors into traps. They make a very satisfying sound.

Sometimes i play him when the daily comes.
I really like the Krampus Outfit.
Sometimes you surprisingly get something in the later game. Survs tend to f up a bit with the traps to the end.

I ADORE Trapper (which wasn't the case when I first played the game all those years ago; once upon a time a daily for him was met with audible groans lol).
A lot of learning to enjoy playing him comes from learning to be ok with taking your time at the start, even if you lose a gen -even two- in the process. Placing traps in more unexpected places (leaving a pallet down, trapping one side of it instead of breaking it, traps in open areas you see Survivors traversing a lot without checking for traps, etc) as well as cycling traps that are noticed/avoid for a spot juuuust nearby 😉
And Trapper's Advocate, he does have the Trapper's Sack Add-on, but the caveat is once placed, they cannot be picked up, so I do understand what you mean regarding that (although paired with Iridescent Honing Stone, and good placements, that can deny the Survivors some areas pretty well and a trap re-opening too late for them to avoid).
I am personally content with Trapper's Bag add-on giving me a few extra to start with... I just wish I had more Iri honing stones in my personal inventory lol I don't use them often, but they are one of my favorites for Trapper.

He NEEDS basekit trap bag. I like to play with Trapper but these days gens fly too fast to have the luxury to use the full potential of his traps.

I did pretty much main them for a good while. Not touched them since MFT came out. Will wait for the fast vault revert until I try them again. Putting traps at vaults is kind of predictable mind you. Gotta love it when you get Eyrie though lol

I wish his traps would spawn into the map pre-armed. It'd be a tiny buff but it would make him feel better, at least a little bit.

idk what's there to like about, you have 0 control over the game. very passive killer fully reliant on survivors being blind and impatient with windows, other than that you're just a machete man. basement trapper can be good though.

Trapper is cool, I just wish iri stone and Trapper bag were base-kit, I love the idea of really powerful traps that open on their own, you can essentially set and forget, then lead everyone back into where your traps are. I do understand why they aren't though.

He satisfying but after awhile he tend to fall short.

I don't mind playing a weak killer, but when the weak killer is also boring it's super unfun ....
I find trapper incredibly boring

Me.
I don't mind if my boy is one of the weakest killers, he will always be one of my mains.

Im a dedicated Trapper main, I play him only because I like to hear survivor screaming from the opposite of the map.

He doesnt need those addon basekit, just more grass and trap spawn close to middle. Thats all I need for him.

I agree.

Me whenever that one obvious trap catch someone.

I love when you trap the right path and survivor go in there without noticing before it's too late
I think the trapper are the most potential to just snowball survivor
But I think that, just giving him the ability to begin the game with all his trap on him (and without add-on) can be just perfect

Whenever I have played him, I do the voice from sammination as apparantly I sound like him lol, it amuses Mr Mushwin.
