Hey devs, question on movement speeds.
Been working out some math with some other people, and i have had multiple people say different things.
Let's say you are a killer with 1 stack of PWYF and you are trapper. 1 stack of PYWF gains 5% movement speed.
Does that movement speed stack like this?
4.6 * 1.05 = 4.83 m/s
or does it stack like this?
4.6 + (4 * 0.05) = 4.8 m/s
similarly, if you are say, huntress. Is it
4.4 * 1.05 = 4.62 m/s
or
4.4 + (4 * 0.05) = 4.6 m/s.
Basically, we all see a 4.6 killer as moving at "115%" movement speed. But for the sake of gaining movement speed, does the extra 15% count as the killer's "base" or is the "base" 4.0 m/s for everyone, and the killer just has a built in "15%" boost?

it is 4.6*1.05 then you divide 4.83/0.2 then do 24.15*5 to get 120.75% to convert into % m/s.

Haste is calculated on base speed. So 5% Haste on a 4.6m/s killer results in their speed being 4.83m/s. On a 4.4 killer they would get 4.62m/s.
It works the same way on survivor, 5% Haste while a survivor is running would be 5% of 4m/s making it 4.2m/s. While they’re walking, it’s 5% of the default walking speed (2.26m/s), making it 2.373m/s.
Worth noting, Bloodlust does NOT work this way, it is just a flat +0.2m/s per tier and the killer’s base speed makes no difference.

This is how i assumed it worked for the longest time, but i have heard from other people who are confident its based on 4.0 m/s speed.

Hoping for a dev response though for confirmation.

Here’s an excerpt from old patch notes (5.3.0) that supports the idea that 4.5% on a 4.4 killer makes them about 4.6.
