Soooo... nobody wants to talk about For The People + Buckle Up, huh?

Speaking as a killer main who recently came back from a year long break, I think the game's balance has improved a lot since I left. Some of the most ridiculously overpowered nonsense on both sides has been eliminated. Despite their many missteps, I want to give mad props to the devs for making persistent progress on balancing this game.

Made For This is very strong and a bit problematic, but that's not what I'm here to talk about.

The new FTP/Buckle Up combo is straight up busted, and clearly survivor mains realize it because I'm playing against it A LOT. There's virtually no counterplay from the killer's side, and the 10 sec (!) endurance duration means that survivors have 40 meters of distance to make it to a pallet or window.

The crazy thing is that I don't think either perk is problematic on its on, it's just their specific interaction that is so crazy OP.

What do you guys think? Is it a problem? How would you fix it? I'm interested to know.

We have was to many endurance effects now in the game.

I'll start by saying that I don't think any perks should be able to double up as it makes things really hard to balance and advantages the game to those who've put in time/spent more money to unlock everything. So on that ground I wouldn't have any problem doing away with the combo.

That said, I think it appears more powerful from the killer perspective then it is. As a survivor doing gens it becomes more obvious just how much time is consumed pulling this off. That's both all the time following the chase, and time spent mending/healing,, with the risk that you don't even pull it off instead of doing gens.

I mean its not bad, but as a survivor I've been in situations seeing others using this perk to eat up killer time, but if they'd been on gens we would have escaped.

I think it should be chenged due to the fact that the counterplay is a lose-lose situation, you hit the person that is gonna fo the combo and the other person can escape while you are on hit cooldown, or you eat up the endurance, so in both scenarios time is wasted for you as a killer and if people manage to destroy slinger due to his lose-lose scenarios I think we should apply the same phylosophy here

Just another combo that is only worth it in a SWF. Tried running it and unless you're tailing your teammate while they get chased hoping to be there when they are downed, you'll never get to use it AND you'll waste a lot of time not doing gens. I also haven't encountered it on any survivors I get match with as a survivors.

For solo it's one of those perks/perk combos that is meh and you should actually bring more useful stuff for either your team or yourself. Buckle up is good for slugging or forced slugging if you can, it's hard to do as solo.

I feel like this combo is in the opposite situation that MFT is in. In order to run BU+FTP you need to be healthy which requires either a teammate or a medkit. On top of that, you now have 2 people off gens (the one in chase and the one waiting to make the FTP play). I do wonder how much time the endurance saves vs healing back up to do it again.

nobody talk about it cause nobody use it. For the people pick rate still remain extremely low despite the strong combo. Not suprise....who wanna give up a health state in solo q? The majority of solo q survivors don't even body block for someone on death hook right next to them

It’s a common pick in SWF because using it in solo queue carries high risk. If someone isn’t prepared to receive a FTP BU combo, they won’t be prepared to run after getting up.

no counterplay. it should work like mft's endurance.

I like it because it lets me keep someone in the match for slightly longer, now they'll get tunneled out with 4 gens up instead of 5!

Nobody has used it on me to any meaningful effect yet, but I understand that it's likely very frustrating for some Killers. It's probably equally as frustrating as being tunneled out.

I hope they dont nerf FTP because of BU, the perk is fine and really hard to use. Only work if survivor down on another side of pallet or window.

BU should be changed into something else.
