Purposely slugging til end game a banable offense?
Just spent an entire match on the ground because of this game’s precious chess merchant. Just checking, is slugging all survs until death for zero purpose banable? I assume it is and this guy purposefully does this every match.
edit: I see a lot of comments about tactical slugging. I should clarify, downed us all, 3 gens left, hooks a-plenty, and just watched us die. This was very obviously done with malicious intent. Was streaming too. Said it was the only way he played. Understandable if it’s not banable, but just sad that some people play like this with no punishment

It's not. When slugging survivors, they will shortly bleed out (even though it feels like a long time). So it's not holding the game hostage. The devs have said that a killer will not be banned for slugging.

No but in extreme situations it absolutely should.

Like?

If it’s clear that a killer bleeds someone out of spite and they do it in multiple matches, then there should be some action taken against them. Maybe not a perma ban, but something.
1 -
What if the surv purposely crawls away when you're slugging in general...
Should the innocent killer be banned cause a Surv decided to crawl away?
6 -
That’s why I said extreme situations. Read my reply above.
4 -
Then it would be a ban for targetted harassment. The slugging is just the method.
5 -
I think no one should be banned for "normal" things in the game.
People assuming way to much in some things.
Take the latest Clown challenge in the tome. You have to 4k. You can reliably only do that if you slug the third to get the fourth.
As often discussed here people want to win on both sides and there are not only nice players. But you have to learn to deal with this stuff, even if there are some unpleasant things.
After all it is still only a game and not worlds end like some seem to see it.
8 -
They need to give survivors a button to instantly die on the ground if they have been like 90sec bleeding.
9 -
That's letting 1 bleed out. I think the extreme statement was letting all 4 bleed out. If you can't manage to hook 1 person and just stand there letting all 4 bleed out, that's certainly worth a timeout of a day or two.
1 -
That is true. I’m just tired of dealing with blatant BMing that ruins games and wastes everyone’s time. Devs need to address it in some way.

This is why I have always been in favor of an actual block list in game. No more than 10 names but when you come across a killer that wants to be that guy and stand there and watch as all 4 slugged players bleed out, yeah I want to be able to make sure I never get into a match with him again.
Eventually, the most toxic players will be on nearly everyone's list and they will find the cue suddenly super long and in time just weed themselves out as they can't get a match.

That is a good idea. Not sure why the devs haven’t considered this yet.

You ain't taking into account the hook spawns.
what if they go into a corner that basically has no hooks (thanks rng) and they all go over there,
It can happen with Bad Rng...
4 -
Even with the worst RNG there is usually one hook around to hook one of the survivors. And if you are slugging all 4 there is no hooks gone yet so you should be able to hook the last player you down before they crawl anywhere.
2 -
Any killer can slug survivors, but sure, take every opportunity to drag the Skull Merchant
3 -
You'd be surprised what Rng can screw you...
i've had games where there was only 1 hook in that entire corner and basement was far tf away...
5 -
I get that, but again... there is 1 hook. So you hook one and you avoid letting all 4 bleed out. There is never a reason to leave all 4 laying there bleeding. There will be atleast one hook in range to get one up and hooked.
There is 0 excuse, ever, to leave all 4 people just laying there to bleed out. And doing so, should get you a timeout from the game.
1 -
If all survs are down with no way to pick themselves up, after a certain time (say 90 seconds) the Entity kills them, much like the EGC timer running out.
0 -
Right. but what i'm saying is..
what if those survivors know you only have one hook in that corner and basement was in Main (For context)
So now you can't really make it towards basement if they hug that corner. then you'd have to bleedout (unless you run agi) since it's too far from a hook... meaning..
Bleeding them out, ...Both ain't fun and it's a dick move i get it.. But we gotta fix the spawnrate of hooks first before we can justify this action..

I slug all the time and camp that player plus make sure that player won't escape while being instantly knocked down if healed.
If needed once while blood warden I will use with no one escapes.
I play Freddy so if that happened to you then that was me ^@^

Not at all, just use slug build with knockout and slug till bleedout from the start of the game.
First match after rank reset btw

personally i think if you decided to actually read the post and used some common sense you would be able to figure out the answer to that question
the person you were replying to said "in extreme situations"
a survivor crawling off to intentionally let themselves bleed out does not seem like an extreme situation, at least from the point of view of examining the killer player's behaviour
i would thus encourage you to do some basic math
3 -
so... what is the difference there?
3 bleed out vs 4 bleed out. it's still gonna take the full bleed out time regardless.
hooking one risks they getting a kobe or deliverance and getting the others back up. if soul charge or buckle up are in play it could lead to 4 survivors back up.
if I want all 4 dead, maybe for a challenge or something else, it's safer and a better play to just let them die.

Was I the killer? If it was ghost face or Freddy then that was me

Because some people would block everyone who beats them, and having a limit on the list wouldn't be effective since you can come across ten different people who play like that on one particularly bad day. There's no way you'd be able to ban them all.
Plus, how often do you come across the same person in pub matches? I've run into the same person multiple times in a day, but it was a very rare occurrence. It's pretty rare to come across someone I've played before at all.
I do agree with this. 90 seconds seems like a solid, fair number. Survivors won't be able to just suicide the instant they're downed, but if they're still on the ground 90 seconds later, it's pretty clear that survivors and killer alike are uninterested in doing anything.
Targeting someone across multiple matches to ruin their gameplay experience is already bannable, and it's pretty hard to accomplish that in the first place.

You keep trying to defend this. You're gonna have to try harder, as you look a lil silly. Clearly you haven't read everything in the thread. I'd do that before you post something that isn't very flattering again.

You were not the killer. Attention hungry?
3 -
Okay. When ever i play survivor it's so rare get killers like that
1 -
Gonna have to elaborate. Cant find anything that agrees with your statement.

Wasn't trying to put you off, just seemed like you really wanted to be 'that' guy ya know? All good :)
I just got home from work and my wife told me she played one game tonight, and it was a Plague that just knock out/slugged everyone til bleedout. Didn't try to hook or what have you. Their goal was clear the moment they entered the trial.

Not bannable they were role playing.
That's what you signed up for when you choose to play survivor.
2 -
by that logic standing at the exit games with all 4 survivors teabagging until a microsecond of endgame collapse is left would be bannable wouldnt it
8 -
Bleed outs aren't counted by the game as regular kills like sacrifices or moris are. So they don't progress daily rituals or tome challenges.
1 -
dead by any means. it counts. if it says sacrifice, mori also don't count
1 -
Dead by any means challenges absolutely do not count bleed outs towards the progress.
0 -
It's not necessarily malicious, the devs did make it so bleedouts don't count as an increase to mmr. Killer could just be playing chill and not wanting to climb the mmr latter. Bleedout is the best option to play without creating a farm match or giving free escapes out the gate.

We do not ban for this. When in the dying state, you eventually bleed out and the match will end. There's too much uncertainty for this to be a bannable offense (e.g. Is there even a hook nearby for the Killer to use? What if the Killer is strategically not picking someone up in case a Survivor has Unbreakable and is waiting for the opportunity to get up and save the others?).

they are countering deliverance with 0 hooks, you obviously wouldn't understand a chess player.

How long was this match?

I just posted a picture of how long it takes to bleed because someone said that it’s a short time.

Note that as Peanits said, slugging in and of itself isn't bannable, however, if it overlaps with another ban reason (such as "Targeting specific users repeatedly in order to ruin their game experience"), then it still can be bannable. The issue is that is on you to prove with video evidence they are doing it for that purpose. I try to crawl under hooks while the Killer is standing over me, in order to show they could choose to hook, but they plan on 4 minute bleeding out to do the above quoted ban reason.
2 -
Just furthers the need for all survivors to have a basekit unbreakable. Would completely remove slugging from the game or cause the killer a lot of stress to slug all 4 and then have all 4 up and slug them again.
3 -
So you believe all survivors should just use unbreakable and that’ll solve the issue? Because I believe that if all survivors started using unbreakable, killers will complain it needs to be nerfed.
0 -
Using it no. I think it just needs to be built into all survivors. The game is set up to down, then hook, then sacrifice. Bleeding out players is almost always due to the fault of the killer.
"What if they all crawl to a corner" - Why didn't you hook after you downed the first one? Because I saw someone near and thought they might go for the save. Okay, go after them and down them but then hook them or hit them and as they run, hook the survivor that was down. There is no story I've ever seen or heard from in this game where a 4 person slug bleed out didn't involve the killer just not hooking people at some point. There is always a choice. Making unbreakable a 1 time use that all survivors just have, would get killers hooking people quicker and making the game flow better.

If I run into the same SWF team multiple times per night (that knows how to play very well, mind you), am I going to get banned for tunneling out their best looper ASAP every time I hook them once?

I agree with this! I think they should definitely have it built in, which would stop killers from slugging. I think 4 minutes to bleed out is a little too high, especially with the killers who will down all 4 survivors and let them bleed out.

I don't gotta try when Bad hook rng can be a factor in getting someone reported for slugging when again...
You ain't taking into account what kind of rng a killer will be facing,
I've had multiple games (Excluding midwich hooks) where i've had maybe 1-2 hooks in one corner but then basement was barely close.
if they got close to that corner even (lets say an example) i already got 1-2 sacced in that corner. well not i don't got no hook and they ran there to be unhookable,
So again... i would be the one reported cause i slugged two people for the whole 7 (5 or 7 minutes. can't remember) cause i got no agi in my build to make any hook. and now i'm basically Banned...
So case in-point...fix Hook spawns / rng, Then we can talk about this..

2 people is vastly different then 4 people.
This was the point I brought up earlier in this disussion. There is never a reason to slug all 4. You will always have a hook around that allows 1 or in your case 2 people. If the last 2 want to crawl and bleed out, that's on them. The issue is with people who literally leave all 4 on the ground and just stand there.
And to be fair, hook management comes into the game. If they pop a gen or are close to finishing a gen and I'm going to let that one go, I'm trying to hook by that gen. Leaving them to work on other gens near hooks.
