How can you tell if a survivor is subtly cheating?
I just had a game where I was completely unable to catch up to the survivors, like it was hard to catch up to them.
Bloodlust kept activating repeatedly, which rarely ever does for me. The entire match just felt completely off for me. Has this happened to anyone?
Which made it more suspicious is that the survivors had their names hidden.

It used to be subtle speed hacks, but with made for this and other haste perks - the line has kind of been blurred. Even still, face MFT for a while and you'll still be able to tell when someone is moving wayyy too fast. They'll even do it when healthy. For your scenario unless you got insanely bad luck and found a cheater squad, it may have just been a placebo effect of some kind.

Now that's the neat thing. You can't.
At least not during the actual game. You might get suspicious but you will not be able to tell without recording the match and watching it closely again. 3% haste (MFT) is enough to gaslight killers into thinking everyone has it and when they look at the lobby after the game, that 1 survivor who looked way too fast didn't have it. You don't know and that is possibly the worst part about subtle cheaters.
I'd rather play against a flying Nea again then someone that simply has a little boost for everything they do. Funnily enough, I had a match just earlier today where I suspected that 1 Vittorio was cheating because he always just barely seemed to make it through the next window before I could hit him. I found out that I was right, when I hooked someone in basement and when I came up, I found that he had finished a gen right next to it that was at 0% just seconds ago all by himself so fast that my Tinkerer didn't activate before it was done. I got the Undetetable effect as soon as it was finished.

you can't... if they aren't obvious about it.
if you have the match recorded we could help...maybe

No one on the team had MFT and they were fast when healed. I bought it was Dramaturgy but no one had that either.

They (cheaters) are making a kind of resurgence so I wouldn't rule it out
The most cheaters I've seen in one game though was only two.
The reason I mentioned the possible placebo thing is because genuinely I feel like when I'm playing badly/not in a great mindset etc survivors feel impossible to catch even though they aren't doing anything wrong. Don't take this as me saying that's what it is, i'm just trying to put forward alternative ideas

Do you play on console or PC? I play on PS5 and I was having a similar issue. Turns out my controller was giving out on me and my joystick wasn't registering that I was pushing it forward all the way, so I was moving at like 80% speed instead of 100%.
IIRC, the person who pointed this out to me said you can check the dead zones using control center on a laptop?

I play on Xbox, maybe that could be it.

there is that feeling when something seems off, if you played game long enough you know what I mean

They're really obvious you can't catch up even when they're healthy, I had one teleporting everytime I downed her. Just dodge p100 Neas hackers love that character for some reason

It's certainly subtle but it's certainly becoming more and more of an issue lately. Just will find that one survivor that is always just fast enough or even faster than the killer. Or my other favorite, flashlight blinds when you are against a wall or from across the map lol.
As others have said, my favorite is when they are healthy and doing this and then you hit end game, no sprint, no lithe, no MFT. Just a magic speed boost.
I don't understand it at all. If you have to cheat to be good, why play? You don't win anything, no $$$ in the real world and while sure you get to be like "I won I won, get gud, ez" deep down, they have to realize they only won because they cheat. I just don't understand the mindset.

You have to check perks post match now and even then good luck getting your reporting to mean anything.

Most people can't tell so they get away with it.. :/

a telltale sign used to be the vigil + bond combo, but it might not be a thing anymore. im really not sure
vigil would give wall hacks and bond would give speed (i think? idk how that actually worked)

Exactly, played a game after that one and everything felt fine

I don’t sadly, I play on console.

don't know about the others... but you can retroactively record a match on a playstation.
hold the share button, a menu appears on the left. pressing square while the menu is up (or selecting the option manually) retroactively saves a video of however many minutes you had it set up to.
the configurations for the time are in that same menu that appears when you hold the share button.
this is on ps4 at least. might work a bit differently on ps5.
edit - also, pressing the share button once takes a screenshot. double tapping it starts recording (it stops when it reaches whatever time you had it set up to)

MFT really muddied the waters in regard to this.

I had a game as nemesis 2 weeks ago on Backwater Swamp where I just couldn't catch anyone)) I remember I had maybe 1 hook no more, even though I had corruption + deadlock and a ton of time. I just couldn't get into melee range at all once they were injured, even in places with no pallets which is just dead giveaway. I had no luck with support since they prefer to only ban flying idiots.
There was also one knight game on red forest when last guy I chased was so unreachable I managed to get into freaking bloodlust 3 cause there was no pallets anymore, and I almost caught him but he still escaped through hatch last second and typed bm in chat. Now that I think of it I should have reported him, damn, I was tired or something, probably too frustrated to think clearly. Guards were useless too. It's like he had hope+mft going, but gens weren't done, it was a hatch game.
For these two games I'm 98% sure, most games of course you can only suspect it, very small speed boosts are pretty safe for them, they can play years and never get banned for 1-2% since support only bans flying teleporting ones.

Near impossible to know most times. Only thing you can really do is check their perks and see if they had any Haste perks. If they didn't then it's easier to figure out, but if they do then it's hard to know.
Other things to keep an eye out for:
- They outrun you even though you have Bloodlust or using a power like Legion (not very subtle, but can be sometimes)
- They bump into objects a LOT but still make it to every window or pallet
- They vanish when they turn a corner and their scratch marks/pools of blood abruptly stop (they probably teleported away)
- You hear someone make the falling "WOAH" sound even though there is nothing to fall from (when they teleport they usually are off the ground a bit and so they make the falling sound. Hard to notice because usually they won't TP near you)
- You get blinded even though they aren't nearby (probably the easiest way to pick up a cheater is if you chase them really far away from a downed survivor but still get blinded by them, even though there is no possible way they could've made it in time, then they probably have an automatic blind hack)
- Also they usually mess up the first blind and will start blinding you the millisecond you pick up the survivor and then re-blind you even though you are looking down.
- The unhook animation is faster than usual

If you manage to hit them, then look at their pools of blood as you chase them. If cheating, they'll usually speed up when you're out of line of sight so their blood pools will be further apart in those areas.

Subtle cheaters could probably give themselves Hope movement speed when injured and gaslight the Killer into thinking it was just MFT in the post game lobby

Subtle cheaters are incredible hard to catch. Even Otz only caught one in his matches, because a viewer pointed out the slight speed difference of 4 survivors running together. And this was before MFT was released...
