family share
why family share for a dlc does not work any more?

Steam updated how family sharing works and made it so DLC doesn't get shared anymore. On one hand I find it sorta scummy, on the other hand people are getting very entitled over it.

A lot of people on twitter are acting like they should be able to keep it for free, as if something they bought was being taken away from them when they didn't actually buy it.

Still, it seems weird that dlcs are treated differently than base games.

kinda makes people doing challenge runs like hardcore unnecessarily expensive...

Nah I have two steam accounts, one I buy games on and the other in which I play them on for more privacy. I do the same on playstation. This change screws me out of doing that, Im not being entitled in the slightest for wanting to access content I paid for.

I understand this, but majority of people aren't using it this way. The outroar is over people who didnt pay for it losing it. I feel bad for people like you who have been screwed over unrightfully, but you don't fall under the entitled people.
The entitled are those who didnt pay, not you. Idk if you can bring it up with steam support or not but I hope a solution is made for people in this situation.
Yeh I don't get why steam did it either. Could be greed. Could be they found the system being abused. Could be both. Could be neither.

I don't PC Game so maybe I'm confused as to what Family Share actually is but...
Like...if I buy a Blu-Ray, do I expect everyone in my house to also purchase that Blu-Ray so that they can watch it? Or if I have Netflix, does everyone in my house have to buy Netflix too to watch it? Or if I buy a PPV fight, does everyone have to pay to watch?
If the family share thing is different households, then maybe there would be a good reason to call it entitled to still share but if you're in the same house (or it sounds like even on the same computer if what I'm reading is accurate), there doesn't seem to be any reason to not let this happen.
Though from everything I've also read, this is 100% on Steam and 0% on BHVR so complaining here won't do anyone any good.

This is so unfair. They should give us all the money we spent on cosmetics if we can't have the characters anymore.

Request a refund on steam. Thats what I did for all the cosmetics I bought for characters I can't play anymore.
