Wraith is one of the most annoying killers rn
Traverses the map faster than most killers (while undetectable), and gets a huge speed boost everytime he uncloaks, and the drawback of the time it takes having to uncloak/cloak is negligible. Add on to that camping and exposed perks like make your choice or pallet shredding with brutal strength he just mows through resources with ease, if you can even get to them without being bodyblocked. Since lightburn is gone now there needs to be something else to his counterplay because unless you have a really good group of vault tiles he's unstoppable. Maybe remove collision when he's cloaked or increase the time it takes to switch between cloak/uncloak.
I'd rather play against Spirit at this point.

I really don't think he's that strong but I absolutely agree he's one of the most irritating killers to go against and I would rather go against spirit or literally anyone else lmao

People have been hating blight & Wesker way before mft was a thing, and wraith haters are more numerous since the healing nerf bc it made hit & run more viable. So, no, not everything is about mft.

Wraith is like summer wind compare to other killers. Only thing about Wraith for me is that he isn't interesting to go againts, that's about it.

Kinda. He's soloQ destroyer like Pinhead when mostly going for Hit & Run style.
The things I don't like of him is:
He's very easy to tunnel unhooked person (after hooking hook trader) because of fast movement speed while cloaked.
His stealth basekit is close to perfect even with growling sound.
Kinda wish he had lullaby like Sadako but I don't think it will happen.
Annoying killer when playing solo but not a broken killer eventually.

Yeah it's mostly this. If it's a sloppy butcher wraith, the match you usually goes as follows: hits 3 people, downs and hooks 1, camps while others are healing, tunnel as soon as save is made. Rinse repeat.

I miss the lightburn effect, which really had no reason to go.
Also, recently I've come across a few Wraiths whose egos are more fragile than their bodies (referencing all the bandaging he wears). I play the same against any killer, which is as best I can but respectfully, yet recently Wraiths have been the only killer to hook then smack me into oblivion. I looped one Wraith for a mere 30 seconds before being downed, yet that was enough to trigger him.
That's a little off-topic, but then again if that's becoming some sort of Wraith meme character it doesn't help it.

Anytime someone plays a match and gets rolled it turns into a this kiler is annoying thread versus a step back and ask yourself why you got downed.
Sometimes there isn't much you can do unless you are with friends and can communicate against the basement Bubba. In a solo q match, played a deathslinger who stayed just off to the side of hook, and aimed at the person on hook. Then simply shot the person who came to save. Since it was solo Q, everyone had to get hooked once apparently before they realized the camp was on. No reason to complain about Deathslinger, just a terrible player. It happens.
Sometimes when you face a killer the person playing them makes it miserable. Take a breath, watch Ozzyman Reviews, and then maybe cue up again.

Hanging out within 32 meters of hook is camping when you can cover that distance in like 3 seconds, undetected. That's like saying a slinger or huntress posted up on a hill next to a hooked survivor is not camping, the distance is irrelevant if you can still hit someone going for unhook.

Dealing with Make Your Choice is not that hard. It requires the killer to be 40 meters away and it also gives you a notification.
DON'T try to hide. Killers running insta-down perks also love to run aura reading perks/add-ons. Run to a safe loop and THEN try to hide. If you can wait out the exposed effect then aces. If you can't then feed them pallets until it runs out.
Even if you end up getting insta-downed with 10 seconds left you've still bought time for your team, which is a good thing.

I think some people are conflating "annoying" and "good".
We went through this for ages with Legion discussions. Legion was never really top tier but it just wasn't fun to play against. Wraith isn't quite there, I'm not sure anything ever will be, but there's definitely been an uptick in zero effort Wraith trolls that are super dedicated to making games as boring as humanly possible. That is fair.
I actually think that's really unfortunate because if you were brand new to the game and just trying to learn maps as a killer, I think Wraith is actually a fine beginner choice assuming you actually intend to do more than hook camp.

I'm literally a big fan of Wraith but he's free as hell against good teams. I like the simplicity of Wraith but his uncloak NERF definitely hurts and some add-ons are mandatory for me.
I like the cloaked faster break add-on and reappearance.
On Lerys and the game... Definitely silent bell & aura add-on.
