Sorry for spoilers, but...

It seems like we're gonna have more "dim" scratch marks after update...

Tbh, I sometimes struggle to follow them already, it will be harder after ptb, it can be harder on a diff maps as well.

I don't know if it worth to discuss tho. Doing this anyway.

    We have to see.

There was kind of a bug on RPD and some maps where the scratch marks were way to much and reached up to the ceiling.

Unfortunately I don't have a screenshots to share how chaotic the scratchies in my matches sometimes...

I do feel like way old (2021-2022) scratchmarks were better and easier to "read" for eyes.

They’re less saturated for sure. I don’t think the scratch marks on the ceiling were unintentional; I think it was meant to help killers track them a little easier. But I also believe they disappeared much faster than what we see in PTB.

Wasn't the one with a lot of scratch marks just a bug that was introduced with some patch? It made it really hard to track survivors and would cover the whole area they were running including the ceiling and all LOL.

I literally just made a post about this. Glad I'm not the only one experiencing weird stuff.

I wonder what prompted this change? In indoor maps they could be very chaotic due to going everywhere, so maybe now they'll be easier to keep track off?

    I'm afraid - otherwise.=)

Since they're gonna be more dim and disappear faster than before, also I can't see the diff in spreading... So they are gonna be still chaotic.

I already have to play around with the color blindness settings because I have trouble seeing scratch marks on some maps and now they are messing with them again? I wish we could go back to 2021 when scratch marks were so intense that you could see them halfway across the map.

The worst part is that this makes the game less accessible in the process. Players that are hearing impaired or don't use head phones already have huge disadvantages and this makes it even worse.

Just as a reminder to everyone, this is what fresh scratchmarks looked like on the PTB. I can see scratchmarks on the wall, but look at the ground... The survivor ran from where I was in the picture, all the way around the wall to the right side of the screen..... but the scratchmarks are barely visible on the ground.

And by the way, I don't think this bug ever got acknowledged, and stayed "under review" the entire time, so maybe these are the new intended scratchmarks.

Doing their utmost to kill the game I think. Unless this is a bug.

They’re off on that map but they look fine on other maps. Better, even, because they aren’t all over the walls and ceiling. To be fair the way they are now is pretty chaotic and especially on indoor maps it does make tracking survivors harder.

I agree with your point but scratch marks have been very weird for the past year, so hopefully they are reverting them to what they were and not just breaking stuff for the sake of change...
