Are Ripley (new Survivor) perks worth getting?

Do you think it is good idea to buy her just for perks? Can someone give me review on her perks?

If you only play meta they're probably not worth getting, but if you like niche or fun builds I personnally think they're great and really like her perks.

You're probably gonna enjoy Chemical Trap if you enjoy stuff like Blast Mine, Head On, Flashbang...

Light-footed is one of my favorites, I'm a fixated & lightweight player and find it really fun to try and disappear mid-chase by literally just walking behind a nearby rock.

Finally, lucky star is pretty underwhelming and I hope it gets buffed but I think it still has its uses for locker players.

    My opinions on the perks:

Chemical Trap: B/C-tier perk, not all that useful, but kinda synergizes with blast mine +flashbang due to the activation requirements.

Lightfooted: C/D-tier perk, this perk is really really terrible. Listening to footsteps rarely happens, and it will only be used in meme builds where the survivor attempts to dissapear mid chase.

Lucky Star: Solid S-tier perk. This is 1000% Ripleys best perk...

In all seriousness, F-tier perk. Probably worse than red herring. This perk has no actual use, not in a meme build, not in a troll your teamates build, nothing.

So no, do not buy Ripley unless you are looking to play as her.

I don't think her perks are anything special. I think there's some fun to be had with Chemical Trap but that's about it. I'll be buying Ripley just because I love her, i don't think I'll get much use out of her perks though.

I would wait for a shrine, unless you are a big fan of Ripley as a character.

    - Chemical trap is the best one, but is just a funny perk for some meme builds

    - Lightfooted is an ok stealth perk, but has too many restrictions for a buff you have very little control over and very little input if it did anything to help you

-Lucky star is a terrible perk, never use it unless you need the info, but you have free perks that do similar effects. The locker stealth effect doesn't even work as the blood pools and scratch marks before you enter a locker don't disapear and the effect will be over when they do. Just don't bother unless you want the adept.

in the power scale of survivor perks... her perks are meh.

but you can do some memey stuff with them. so it's on you to decide if you want to meme with meh perks.

    Depends on what you want.

Chemical Trap, as others have pointed out, is going to be a niche 'fun' pick rather than actually a strong one.

Light Footed is going to be one of those perks that people consistently underrate even though it's fantastic, but it is a "break chase" type of perk which not everyone enjoys (see Overcome being easily top three Exhaustion perks, but nobody runs it).

Lucky Star is... not good, really, at least not for its main effect. There is something to be said for getting a free (if timed) Kindred and generator reveal if you're playing in solo queue, for only one perk slot, but unless it's buffed I don't think the other effect is going to be useful.

Doesn't Ada already have a better version of silent step?

hers only apply when everyone else is dead.

but also, does nothing for her footstep sounds

So i guess that was the old iron will and self aware then

neither ever did anything to footstep sounds... at least on purpose

Self aware increased walk speed, so you didn’t need to run

Chemical Trap is the most fun perk I've used in awhile and it gets crazy value at strong pallets, it's like having a second exhaustion perk. Worth the price of the DLC on its own imo, I'll never run a loadout without it.

I like Chemical Trap and Light-Footed. The first will be good to use at god pallets that the killer has to break, and I like stealth perks so I'll be trying out Light-Footed. I think it'll be fun to see people try to combo Light-Footed with Breakout so they'll be running behind the killer with almost no sound at all.

Lucky Star needs a rework to be more useful, but it's a decent info perk for soloQ. SWF don't need it but sometimes I do need help figuring out where a dang generator is when I can't remember which ones are finished and which aren't. However, the mute while injured in lockers needs a buff to actually function as stealth.

    Ripley’s perks are garbage.

    that’s probably not just imo

Her perks are pretty mediocre but more importantly she herself does not look like Ripley or sound like Ripley in the slightest so unless you're dead set on getting every survivor or all the achievements I wouldn't get her at all!

Light-Footed is probably going to be like Lightweight and Lucky Break where they are pretty good perks but people just don’t use it.

Chemical Trap is decent, but not meta worthy. Will be annoying to deal with as some weaker killers, but not a big deal against the stronger ones.

    Lucky Star is awful.

her silent foot steps one seems nice, i'll be able to go for flashbang saves with any survivor other than renato.

Lucky Star is weak and awkward. Chemical Trap is pretty good. Light Footed is decent, but is a perk that you’ll probably notice value from more as killer than you will as survivor.

I think a lot of people are underrating Chemical Trap. It's quick to set up, and if you put it on a pallet the killer has to break, they're forced to eat a fat slowdown.

Light Footed will probably do best with altruism plays. You can run up for a flashlight save without being heard, or chase a killer carrying a survivor for a sneaky body block or something (preferably paired with Breakout.)

The only use for Lucky Star will be pairing it with Lucky Break, Overcome, and Inner Healing to disappear and heal quickly after. Not a bad combination, but it's something you can pretty much already do with Quick & Quiet or Bite the Bullet.
