Welcome to the NOED meta
After long time, NOED is again rising in popularity and I am also thinking about running it more offten.
Why you may ask?
Because of MFT + Hope + Adrenaline is meta. That's why. It is the only somewhat soft counter Killers can bring. However Survivors still have better meta than one strong late game perk that can be prevented (unlike Survivors perks) ahead and also can be cleansed and it will reveal itself. NOED is still way more balanced than MFT + Hope.

Still don't know where the idea that NOED is bad came.
NOED + NWO is a banned combo in comp. NOED was always one of the most picked perks in comp and in general.
NOED is a good perk, who knew...

You're completely right. MFT+hope I see almost in every match of mine. xD
End-game survivor perks should be countered by A-S tier killers.
Or lower tier killers with end-game perks as well.
I don't see any issues with that.

How is noed a "Good perk", if the killer plays well noed will be a dead slot, on the other hand if you do happen to reach end game, its effects at most are usable for 30 seconds.
Only way it would be a "good perk" is if it was basekit, that way survivors would have to choose between wasting time doing totems or risk dealing with a potential 1 hit down in the end game.
The only reason Noed is used at "comp level" is because when DBD is played optimally by both sides, the game heavily favours survivors and you're almost guarantee to make it to end game.
This current survivor meta is so god awful that kill averages are now at 50ish% according to nightlight stats.

there is a reason so there are so many restrictions put onto survivors in comp dbd, yet they STILL win a lot of the games.

If you never make it to end game Adrenaline is a dead perk. That doesn't make the perk bad.
NOED brings easy value that demands an answer from the survivors and can by itself give you kills you wouldn't get otherwise.
I don't care if the perk can also be countered, the perk can give you 1 or 2 free kills.
Also if you managed to end the game before end game, why are complaining? You got the win with 3 perks, good for you. But the perk is an insurance if things go bad.
Turns out that gen regression perks are countered by survivors gen rushing, you ain't regressing a completed gen

Each Killer also have restrictions on add-ons, maps and perks.
It's a different game from regular Dbd.

You can use 3 slowdowns and a Noed.
I dont think average killers need 5 dull totems on top of 4 slowdowns to make 3K.

I mean NOED is one of the best perks in the game and they refuse to make it a base kit mechanic, so anyone running NOED is playing smart imo. I'm that Survivor that does Totems normally so NOED is never a problem for my Solo team.

Or people run a Perk which helps them during the game so that the Survivors dont even reach Endgame and play with 2 Perks (when they have MFT, Hope and Adrenaline).
But yeah, NOED is good for the pity Kill.

Claiming noed is "1 -2 free kills" is factually wrong, survivors dont magically teleport to the hook as soon as noed activates, it still requires a chase and hit, and its a Hex, you can remove it from play.
However, things that ARE free value are Hope, Adren, Resi, MFT,Windows , deja vu etc etc and they have *no counter*..
If you claim noed is "good" then by logic alone, all the survivor perks i've listed have to be considered beyond busted.

I mean deja vu isint a bad perk. It gives a flat repair speed buff. I usually run it as I’ve made it my mission to not run meta perks, my mental health has drastically improved

because the perk never did anything. therefore the slot on it was wasted.
them winning or not doesn't matter at all here.

Skill issue on your part then?
If you don't believe that NOED is a good perk don't use it.

Your bias is undercutting any point you're trying to make.

And yet this forum will literally start attacking you if you say the game favors survivors and killers are in one of the worst spots they've been EVER. Outside of year one, this is the worst era for killer.
And survivors will run in here screaming and crying that "NOOO, KILLER IS EZ NOW AND SURVIVOR US WEAL BECAUSE DEAD HARD AND DECISIVE STRIKE!!!! REEEEE. REEEEE. THEY ADDED TEN SECONDS TO GENS, REEEEE!!”
However they will ignore that Killers were nerfed 10x harder because of the Dead Hard and Decisive Strike nerfs. Literally any Survivor nerf is followed up by completely gutting Killer so Survivors don't truly lose anything ever.
Killers had EVERY single gen regression or slowdown perks completely and utterly crushed. Without those perks you don't have time to do chases so you gotta tunnel and proxy camp, use Blight or Nurse who cqn actually chase, or use 3 gen Skull Merchant to ignore chases.
Survivors lost 2 perks but then got perks that are stronger than the 2 they lost.
Survivors have perks that cut gen times, survivors have perks for extra health states, survivors have perks for extra speed...
The game is the worst it's been for killer period point blank end of story. And you can't tell me different.

Different.

I wouldn't want to tell you different. Everyone's experience and opinions for the game are different. I can't make it through 3 games of survivor without wanting to dc but I've been playing killer for about 2 hours now and haven't felt stressed about it once. That's my experience and what I base my opinions on. I don't mind a bit to listen to others though because that doesn't mean there shouldn't be a middle ground some where between the experiences.

If you want to run it, great, go for it! Have fun! ^^

It always makes me laugh when we cleanse the NOED shortly after it procs and then we get an ez save because the Killer lacks any game sense or skill. Using crutch perks won't teach you to get better.

"If killers play well NOED will be a dead slot."
This is true against normal teams but against top tier players it's flagrantly false, hence why NOED is a go-to choice in comp tournaments.
As someone who plays both sides I must say that I'm an extremely average survivor and an extremely good killer. As such, I'm constantly playing against coordinated SWFs. Against those teams even when you're dominating you'll almost always lose all the gens.
I never run NOED myself, because I always try to play chill and base my builds around playing against chill teams, but at my MMR (whatever it is), I can't fault killers for running NOED.

Endgame builds are seeing more popularity because it’s easier to get to endgame now especially after gen regression perks have mostly being gutted

I've noticed an increase. I do every totem I come across now

That is exactly my original point, NOED is only viable at high mmr because the game when played optimally is extremely survivor sided and 9/10 times all gens will be done by the time you get 6 hooks.
The game at its core, needs to have maps shortened and tile strength decreased , just turning all shacks into a version of Dead Dawg shack would be a good start.
Putting an actual limitiation on certain survivor perks is also required. *being injured* is not a valid perk limitation, makes no sense for survivors to be stronger when they are injured and permanently while so.

why is everyone surprised? This game has been a joke ever since skull merchant, I completely expected something like NOED to end up being meta, look at survivor, buckle up is practically meta, that perk used be be considered one of the WORST perks in the game and now everyone uses it after the release of nick cage.

Noed is still strong it secures 1 more kill always than you would have without it. It especially good if you get one survivor out before 5 gens are done as you can ptetty essily secure 3K even 4K but just usually one gets away. Without it you would gotten 1K or 2K at best if lucky.

NOED usually translates into one extra down then it's cleansed it's okay but I wouldn't call it good.
