Is this a "me" problem?
I can't stand boil over, I know it isn't considered toxic and most people can't play around it but against some people I just can't, well maybe what I can't stand are the "guaranteed wiggle" builds I've been facing lately.
I played against a squad that had a very simple strategy:
4 petrified oak (less hooks spawn)
Every single one of them had a toolbox for sabotaging and the best part:
Boil over|Flip flop
Then they sabotaged in my face every single time and of course body blocked, I can't complain about the body block because you have to somewhat skillful to execute it, but man 1 hook and 10 minutes of suffering.
So does anyone know an effective way to counter this kind of stuff?

slug.

@NerfDHalready I could but I don't really enjoy a game doing so, but I guess if I don't have a choice

Run Starstruck when you see 4 toolboxes. People tend to body block less when they are exposed and you one shot them down.

In that situation I'd just slug, if you see a team bring lots of flashlights or toolboxes you can also bring perks like Franklins, Mad grit, starstruck or lightborn just so they can't have fun lmao.

It's either useless or insanely broken, and on the right map with oak add ons its stupid tbh, can just deny hooks in whole corners of the map. And if a team builds around preventing slugging, its one of the worst things to go against imo.
Perks shouldn't be this map dependant to get value, and the value shouldn't be as strong as deny a whole hook (often after a chase, pickup, and carry. If you lose a hook this way against a decent team the game is over.

I would pick Mad grit. They will let you hit them, while not affect your carrying. After the hook, all of them are injured.
Startruck only let them use toolbox on Gens instead

I hate it too: it rewards Survivors for losing chases or generally being annoying in a way that's not quite toxic (using map offerings and then camping specific parts of the map). It just makes me want to slug, camp or tunnel the Survivor running it, because if a Survivor is going to make hooking them difficult, I'm going to minimise the number of times I have to do it.

bring mad grit, agitation, iron grasp, and lightborn as well as moldy oak

If they are running a wiggle build and purposely run up into a building where you will not be able to hook them, I bleed them out and guard their bodies while doing so.
Screw em, they wanna be cheesy, I'll be cheesy. That's what they get for playing cheap.

I went against a team running this build and when I just slugged them all they called me humorless. Sorry for not wanting to be the butt of your joke I guess.

We're talking about body blocking with Boil over. If replace a perk in your build for either Startruck, Madgrid, Force penance....Mad grid is the best of them.
Force penance will make that broken time into Gen time. And it will not save you from Boil over survivor escape. The result is no hook and multiple survivors broken
Mad gird will give you both injured survivors and the firm hook, this is the most advantage scenario you can get against body block + boil over.
