The simple fact that Dead By Daylight is a very well made game that is enjoyable more frequently than it isn't, on my part.
I don't have a ton of experience in this genre, but it does also just seem to be the best around there.

I still enjoy the game
I'm in a much much much better place mentally when I kind of felt addicted to the game and would play no matter how miserable it was making me. If I start having bad matches or not enjoying my time, I have no problems just switching to something else.
One day this might mean I'll turn DBD off and just never turn it back on again but at least for the time being, I still enjoy the game plenty enough to keep playing.

Honestly? When I play this game I can turn my brain off.

To DBD well.. Its still a fun game and that's enough.
To the forums well... its like a train wreck, its terrible but you can't look away.

Because... I like the game? What more reason do I need? Do you guys really play the game out of obligation or something?

I dont run the same meta builds for one. When you keep using the same build and same playstyle, you get bored pretty quickly. I even run no mither builds to spice it up.

I like it still and enjoy both sides. But I do play less than before but that's good thing.

Lack of asym horror at the moment. Tcm is gonna hopefully encourage more games of this nature so we have a better variety but dbd has the advantage of not being tied down to an IP

Finally somebody had the cajones to just say it! 😅

DBD is uniquely addictive. It scratches an itch that no other game out there has.
