It is most likely not a shadow change. More likely a result spaghetti code, just like the Windows of Opportunity perk description.

I was too. I took about like a 3-4 month break when Pinhead came out, then took 6-7 month break when Knight released.

there is reason why nobody breaks those doors. downing someone inside room means you only break the right door. the front door should never be broken. same with bottom door next to the basement. those two breakable walls are there to prevent infinities.

Not only this, but they also added a lot of infinite loops with MFT being added to the game. They balanced distances based on standard survivor speeds. How on earth a long term survivor speed boost got passed QA is beyond me. Has completely broken loops.

Well they did touch up on the distance fog in both dead dawg and ormond to be thicker. How that would correlate to a door not spawning there? idk.
