Does this game feel outdated to you?
The games' engine, the perks, addons, new content on top of old content, items, offerings, some maps, old tome challenges that requires you to do insane tasks (eg hatch)? Doesn't it feel outdated to you for a live service game?

Looks and feels like a PS3 game. Given PS5 is out now it's doing well to stay in there.

This game was clearly made with the intention of dropping support for it within the year it was made

no and yes. everything in it is not outdated, but things like the game engine and some old killers are definitely outdated and need immediate changing. the game engine is like complete utter crap and the games code is genuinely spaghetti code which should be revamped from the ground up.

Yep, their engine too old. They can't add feature like replay and better anti cheat system.

DBD is an old game. Of course it's gonna look outdated. After 7 years how could it not?
But BHVR are doing a good job keeping this game alive somehow. It was never meant to grow this big and somehow it's still going. So I think that's not a major issue.

7 years is a long time.
At some point, BHVR will have to create DBD 2 with modern graphics and textures, some new game elements etc. But this day is not today.
