"Ask Me Anything" (Reddit) was great... (sarcasm)
I attended for the second time in a row, and got ignored on both occasions. I submitted my question 30 seconds after opening. There were already 100 questions in front of me. I just counted how many questions were answered: 38. What's the point even if you are going to spend so little time answering people's questions? There were 4 people answering. That is less than 10 questions per person. In my opinion, either do it good and answer most people's questions (yes, this is a couple of hundred of them and will take you some hours to complete) or don't do it at all. You're setting up expectations just to be met with disappointment.

No answers about the price hiking
Not saying I expected an answer but damn.

Yes, they just give "generic" answers. Great, we already knew Skull Merchant will be getting a rework. Now the only thing I learned is the Slipknot cosmetics coming out in Q1 2024. Great...

All they answered was cosmetic-things.
Gameplay-wise, the answer was: Cant say.

"We can’t talk about this right now but it might happen eventually!"

What happened to the transparency they show some time ago ? Im not so long into the game but what i heard and saw in the past was way more opened on feedback.
2 -
The Slipknot date had already been leaked, so many of us already knew that. It might have been the only reason they answered that one.
I don't think they should waste their/our time with AMAs any more. Developer Updates are much better.

They keep doing the same thing. "We want to communicate more with you the players and listen to your feedback." Meanwhile, they implement very little of the feedback they receive, hardly communicate where it actually matters and implement stuff that is unbalanced and hurtful for the game. You have a huge player base with thousands of hours. I don't understand why they tap more into that hive mind.

Oh okay. So not the first time. That's sad. Maybe they learn it on some day.

Well.. we got some info, right?
- Freddy rework isn’t happening any time soon after all
- Twins changes mostly consist of bug fixes and addon changes but will play the same with trying to shift away from slugging (seemed like something bigger in last AMA)
- 2-set-cosmetics are still in their backlog but nothing happening on this regard
- Cosmetic descriptions were ‚standardized‘ but they heard the feedback and (hopefully) not continue that
- fnaf is a possibility at least from their side
- They have planned something about pre prestige auto fill bloodwebs
- Skull Merchant Update is still on the radar and supposedly ‚big‘
- Blight update will happen in the near future
- currently no plans for P100 rewards whatsoever
- MfT is confirmed to get some form of ‚touch up‘
there have also been some lore and personal questions which are important in these things as well. Also plenty of things that were brought to the devs attention with some numbers (upvotes) behind them so they get an idea on how important it is for the community.
it also doesn’t help that certain questions have been directly answered before and are being asked again and again or it is absolutely clear that they cannot answer something in such a setup even if they wanted to (regarding licenses or upcoming features that are still being worked on and will see further changes before PTB/release)

It's still surprising how they just keep pulling a "The Dead by Daylight team is aware of this issue and is looking into it but can't give any concrete details as of right now."
Sure, there are some good bits of information like them acknowledging the crappy descriptions of newer cosmetics. Can't help but feel it's just A.I. doing these descriptions now.

Them being open to fnaf isn't really that surprising considering it's been part of every one of their license surveys so far.

I still see it often debated and people arguing so I guess it was surprising for some of us

What does this community NOT argue about

The Dead by Daylight team is aware of this issue and is looking into it but can't give any concrete details as of right now.

I understood that reference XD

The AMA was extremely disappointing, especially when you think about them talking about how they want to be more transparent towards the community. Why not pick questions beforehand and give the team time at least some time to craft an answer properly?
Some responses gave me pause: "We will pass the feedback on" - So, you are not already aware?
Q&A sessions can definitely be good and increase the trust/faith into the dev team but this definitely wasn't one of those.
2 -
I wouldn’t be surprised if Matthew talks about how “communication between the devs and the playerbase has increased with constant AMA sessions” at the next Anniversary.

Yeah I had a read through earlier and was a bit disappointed. I thought they announced the AMA because they had lots of info they were keen to share. Possible people didn't ask the right questions but regardless, there wasn't really any revelations that we weren't already kind of expecting.
2 -
I think it would be a good idea if they collected the questions in advance and after a few days or a week they answered each important question.
Instead of getting excited and writing a question, it will be ignored and answered with another question that no one is interested in

I am missing Stefan Horvath.

But I mean...their engagement shows here on this forum as well...or lack of. How many times do people here ask questions or bring up important topics yet none of the developers take the time to even respond.

Well, the answers were typical BHVR:
- No
- We don't have it planned
- It's been delayed.

You don't get it bro if you want the entire chapter in a single purchase you HAVE to spend the extra $5 for a skin you dont possible want.... At least with both the resident evil chapters you got a 2nd survivor. And before I hear anyone saying "you could just buy 1000 auric cells" well yeah but its so inconvenient on how I HAVE to go in game go to their store get the steam page open etc.
2 -
Not to mention the Auric shop tends to bug out and disable content you rightfully purchased. At least when you buy the DLC on steam it is verified by a 2nd source, so it gets re-enabled much sooner.

I don't believe the Iron Maiden and Slipknot date was leaked. There has been no word on those since they were announced during the anniversary stream. That's why I asked about when the Iron Maiden skins are coming.
