GENS TURN RED WHILE 2 SURVIVORS ARE ON IT.WHY?

So I was wondering for a while now is that when 2 survivors are on a gen the gen progression meter turns red. Was this newly added with the latest update?

    Yes. It's not a bug.

    What you’re seeing is the ‘efficiency penalty’. When you’re repairing a gen on your own, you do so at 100% speed (assuming no toolbox), taking 80 seconds to fully repair. With two survivors, each repairs at 90% speed, taking 44.4 seconds to repair, and so on.

    Because you personally are repairing at less than 100% speed, your progress bar turns red.

    This was always supposed to happen, but had been bugged up until the most recent mid-chapter patch.
