New Record to find a match for a P100
Thirty-nine minutes. For 39 minutes, I watched as killer after killer and Survivor after Survivor dodged the lobby I was in. Prestige should be hidden until end game. This is ridiculous.

Read the patch notes, currently it actually is.

I don’t know what y’all are doing lol. It’s gotta be either a regional thing, mmr thing, or you’re exaggerating, because I do not get dodged hardly at all as p100, and I roll around with a full p100 squad most nights.

I literally timed it. It was thirty-nine minutes. Maybe it is regional or MMR.

It’s gotta be. I have never once experienced that. That’s absurd!
1 -
It's beyond annoying my friend.

I've not seen many people dodge p100s on either side, maybe 1 or 2. I usually never dodge as killer unless there's like 3 and i don't feel like putting up with the shenanigans.
4 -
Must have been something else. You wasn't getting dodge for 39mins over P100.
5 -
Gotta be new players, right? Everyone else should know by now that prestige does not equal skill.
I would understand maybe dodging a full P100 squad because not every killer is in the mood dealing with a SWF but then again, if I can beat them with pallet Freddy and a meme build, then even that is no indicator of how difficult the match will be.
I'm not opposed to the idea of hiding prestige though. But if we're gonna go that route, then they should also allow players to keep their prestige hidden after the game.

You're underestimating the average DBD player. Anyway, there's no way you get dodged for 39 minutes for something that most players can't even see anymore. OP is either lying or playing on OCE or SA servers where queue times are very long by default.
1 -
Those of us who play with or against P100s know that prestige doesn't equal skill. The people who dodge them don't know that because they avoid playing with them.

a video would be golden to showcase the need to get rid of the pre-game lobbies as a whole.
2 -
Most players can see it. It is simply a test on some accounts.

I would have loved to but Behaviour took away the Nintendo Switch ability to capture video for their software. It's been gone for a couple years, can't seem to find out why.
2 -
Are you playing in anonymous mode or have a ban history on steam? If it were me, I would leave lobbies with such players to avoid matches with cheaters.

I play on Nintendo Switch. No ban history, no anonymous mode when I play Survivor. I only play anymnous on killer.

I mean, fair but I mostly don't even look at my lobbies. There are better things to do than looking at each character. And honestly I thought this was pretty common at least for pc players.
Also, wouldn't they notice that P20s and higher aren't really that different from everyone else and grow more confident playing with and against high prestige players? I kind of doubt that even new players would dodge everyone who has a slightly higher prestige level than them. I'd barely find a game as killer, if I did that. Even as a survivor I still get my fair share of P100s. And I'm really not a great survivor.

Yeah I see a P100 at least every third game so no point in dodging (or at least a P80+). I've played 3 survivor games today and seen two, and one was hiding/throwing with a key. Against a Wraith no less. I suppose some killers see them differently to other high prestiges because 100 is the max amount, so anyone on less than that is perceived to still have room to grow? I dunno.

That's pretty awful. I had a match with a P99 and 100. Just wanted to meme a little and do the pallets challenge (12). They didn't get it... some people just play the game but do not pay attention. Tick-tick-tick...

I wonder if the ability to backfill becomes more and more difficult as this goes on.
I'm curious, was it a good game at least that you eventually played?

I sometimes dodge p100 survivors but as survivor.. only 1 or 2 out of 10 have decent skill, most p100 i have seen just troll, die in first hook or dc... Its pretty dumb to hide prestige anyway, you can just remember their names..
1 -
Only for certain people, it should of been in the Beta tab for everyone....

Then hide the survivors names as well

I don't recall. It was my last match of the night and I've been playing today so I don't recall anything special about it

it's not, I'd love to see what patch notes you've read.

This...
P100 to me is nothing more than bragging rights. I've been playing since 2017 still suck ass at effectively looping shack and t walls.
Yes time does mean you get better but it doesn't mean your skill is master class.

um no?

The devs themselves have literally confirmed it man on this forum.

So I decided to just load into SoloQ as a low Prestige Survivor and swap at the last second. I also change my username every couple of hours. So far it's working out. Haven't had a killer DC before the match starts yet.

Seems to me that most can't see it. It's hidden for me, my friends, and just about every streamer I've seen in the past couple weeks.
If you keep getting dodged, best bet is to dip out yourself and try a new queue seed. Chances are if you're P100 you're also high MMR.
A fresh queue should put you with other high MMR players, who are less likely to dodge a single P100 (if they even see prestige). While backfilling is more likely to match you with low-mid MMR, who are probably more likely to dodge high prestige.
So that very first bunch of dodges is what sentences you to perpetual dodging.
Also worth noting what other factors are in play. Are you a brightly coloured Feng/Nea with a TTV or team name in your username?

I'm in disguise now. The other day I began loading into lobbies with a low Prestige character, then swap just before the timer hits 5 seconds. I'm also changing my username every few hours. I can see everybody's Prestige, as both Survivor and Killer.

I have been wondering for a while now if the issues people have with MMR is not actually a problem wiht the MMR system, but actually the issue of lobby shopping forcing the system to constantly account for backfilling.
Definitely support the removal of character level in lobbies and only revealing on end game.

Unfortunately, you're going to get what you want there. The devs have been running A/B testing with a group of people, not letting them see survivor levels, and I'm one of them. It's been awful, meaning the devs are almost assuredly going to implement it.

It's been awful from your experience playing as The Killer or The Survivor? Please elaborate, thank you.
