how come yall nerfed the xenomorph so hard and so fast yet yall are REFUSING for the life of you to nerf mft (and hope)? yall said there are changes coming to it but why are you waiting so long to put it out meanwhile the xenomorph gets it within 2 weeks.

I just had a survivor OUTRUN the entire timer of no way out, run around the ENTIRE MAP FOUR TIMES, run to her teammate and pick her up infront of me, get endurance from mft, then run an ADDITIONAL TWO MORE TIMES AROUND THE WHOLE MAP before getting caught. this is not balanced in the slightest and I refuse to believe the devs think this is balanced. this is arguably more broken than old dead hard.

Well for one thing, Xeno was a bug fix. They tend to rush bug fixes out.

Just a question.
You had a survivor down, and chased the other one. Why not hook the downed survivor? Can't get endurance for healing if you don't leave them the option.

They just reverted a change from the PTB, that's it. That's not a rework and honestly the buff should never had happened. Having a ranged melee attack that can hit over loops and has limited slowdown on whiff was stupid.
How does MFT do all that? The only way someone is looping you around the map six times is if they are chaining loops together. You don't need MFT to do that.

Because the Xenomorph nerf was reverting a buff that never should've happened, also it was just changing 1 number which doesn't take long to do. Since we already know MFT is going to be nerfed at some point and it wasn't ready for this midchapter, I'm hoping that means that the change coming to it will be more than just a numbers change (eg. they're not just going to make it 2% and leave it the exact same otherwise), which is a good thing, even if that means it takes longer.

that was mft and hope. it literally makes the killer only 5% faster than the survivor and 0 if its a 110 killer. This entire time he went around 4 pallets. again, that is not balanced and even bloodlust couldn't do anything because hes so fast the game is considering the chase ended even though I was still trying to chase him

the devs have said on their twitter before the perk released, they already had a change for it in case its a problem. they're just delaying it at this point.

It was a nerf on top of a bug fix though.
No one would complain about a bug fix, but they also nerfed the tail attack.

I do remember that. But it’s plausible that the data they have on the perk now that it’s been out for a while tells them the change they had in mind back then wouldn’t be enough of a nerf. Just a guess, but if they felt that change from back then was sufficient, it probably would’ve been implemented already.
I would rather they take a bit longer and nerf the perk properly rather than rush in a change that won’t be enough to fix the problem.

Oh you’re one of THOSE killers… just hook the guy and move on with the game, and you would have avoided this whole situation. Hope is fine, MFT is fine. If he ran you around the whole map, there’s some work to be done on your end as well.

So you didn't realize to the end of the game that this player had made for this? You never hit them and went, oh this dude has MFT, and might have it stacked with Hope.
Why should you hook the survivor. Well 2 reasons:
1) As you learned the hard way and now want to nerf something over, if you leave someone down it can go from a 3k to a 2k because you made poor choices. I feel zero sympathy for you if you left someone slugged.
2) Slugging is just scummy. You left someone laying around wasting their time cause you wanted to play a certain way and make sure you got your precious 4k. Meanwhile, when it didn't work out you came to the forum upset that another player using a completely valid build and playing the way they wanted to ruined your day. Do you see the irony here?

While I do think that MFT and Hope shouldn't stack, you're not gonna get much sympathy in this thread when your point boils down to "MFT + Hope punished me for slugging for the 4k'.

This is the thing that most don't understand ... or don't WANT to understand. This was not a rollback, it was a nerf on top of said rollback. And they messed in some undisclosed way with the tails hitbox. I haven't played the Alien much since then, but it surely doesn't feel strong and accurate enough to warrent this massive counterplay and deletion of its power by tools that never run out.

im not one of those dbd streamers where I play nice, give survivors hatches, and not play a killer because survivors hate them. I'm a killer, I am going to kill the survivors. there is a difference between killing the survivors and a completely broken perk.

Yes, the hit box feels off on top of the delay. I really don´t understand why they didn´t just fix the bug and then look at how the killer performs. Makes no sense at all.

i'm really worried they'll just do some number tweaks or remove the endurance part and call it a day.
because they are going for a slug play for pressure since it's end game.

They didnt nerf Xeno it was a bug fix.
and last point how can you compare a killer power to a survivor perk?

i think it is justified if the 4th survivor is injured and in your sight, more so if it's end game. they aren't begging for sympathy either, just pointing out an unbalanced perk and they are right.

Are we convinced that BHVR intentionally made the tail wonky, or could it just be another bug? I don't remember Xeno doing anything beyond hitting survivors over loops, so I'm not sure what they would be trying to nerf.

I have played him exclusively since the change and it feels very different. Bad different, trying to explain it here is likely to result in a skill issue attribution of the concerns, so, I don't much waste my time with detailing the ability and how it interacts with the environment.
But, I will say, at this point the whole Xenomorph package feels pretty bad. It felt nice enough to motivate a purchase on the PTB, and very special for 5 mins on live...

I’m a killer main guy, and I believe slugging for the 4k is a huge waste of everybody’s time and only utilized to stroke egos. Nobody enjoys a killer that can’t FATHOM not getting his 4k every game.
Stop complaining about legit survivor builds because you decided to go against the grain when they are in full effect. It’s literally the consequences of your actions.

1- Mft is already said to be nerfed soon.
2- The only nerf Hope should get would be not being able to stack with mft.
3- Newly released killers are always tweaked faster than perks or older killers, because even after being tested in PTB they usually underperform or overperform and need to be changed. Wesker's hitbox fix, knight's buff, Singularity's EMP nerfs were all done weeks after they were released.
4- You are asking for a nerf to a perk combo in a game not only you were already winning but also were abusing a strat that lets you bypass a game mechanic(hatch).

The bloodpoint gained vs the time wasted is null, better off starting a new game, and mmr for how laughable it is isn't affected by hatch escapes. But hey you got a 4k instead of a 3k + hatch, here's a star ⭐️

Isn´t that like... the same thing what happens when survivors wait the full 2 minutes at the exit gate?
Wasting time for a tiny amount of bloodpoints. When they could already be in a new match?

You should have read OPs response. They were not going for a slug to build pressure, they were slugging because they wanted a 4K. Assuming that they had 2 Survivors dead already before all Gens were done (No Way Out probably triggered with just two Survivors alive) and they could have gotten a 3K, it is their fault for messing up.
If someone cannot accept that they won with a 3K and want a 4K so desperate, they should not be mad if it ends up in a 2K because the Survivors played well.
(Same with Survivors who want 4 people out and throw themselves at the Killer and get at least another Survivor killed instead of just accepting that "only" 3 Survivors escaped...)

MFT is so broken. It made me have to chase a surv around a loop 2 extra times for my 3k and, I still didn't 4k because of hatch. Plz nerf MFT and remove the hatch its OP :'(.

Just like the survivor can literally just run towards the killer to end it faster...
As you said, its just some bloodpoints and wastes a lot of time.
Both situations waste time. Both can be "solved" by both sides. It just requires them to run towards each other. But both sides refuse to do that and just waste time.

I tried the Alien a couple of times today and wow, its basically dead. The tail is easily dodged and the killer lost all fear factor and can be just made fun off as any other killer. A full priced DLC with the first strong and fun killer in a year, and then they are too afraid to actually go through with that and prioritise handholding survivors that much higher then anything else. A real disgrace.

no one complained about ptb xenomorph being weak or in need of buffs except some minor complaints about the turrents.
i don't understand what's is troubling you so much with xenomorph the only thing am seeing here is you admitting that you liked Survivors not being able to do anything against you. the tail didn't suddenly become easier to dodge but now it punishes you a little bit for missing as it should.

they've definitely changed the hitbox without saying anything about it. (the "lag" at the end was just because I made two clips. the lag only showed up in the clip and not in game)

We can all play how we want. We bought the game. Made for this is the problem. Not hope. I try to finish my games before the 5th Gen is completed because I know that I won't have an end game.
Made for this hurts weaker killers exponentially more than stronger ones.

hope isnt really a problem, its just how mft stacks with it. these two make 110 killers completely unable to catch up to the survivor or regular killers will only be 5% faster than survivors..

bhvr is adding counters for survivors against "toxic" strategies like tunneling and camping. why can't they add a counter measure for these people?

Because it’s scummy. Can you do it? Sure. Should you? No, probably not if you’re a considerate person. I main killer, and I don’t slug for the 4k outside of doing an adept (which I don’t become I’m 100% on adepts) because…
When I play survivor, it absolutely SUCKS being slugged because the killer wants to go find the other survivor and deny them hatch. I don’t know anybody who plays a survivor match and says “oh man I REALLY hope the killer slugs for the 4k… that would be so much fun!”
If everybody hates it, why shouldn’t we discriminate against it and try to get it changed? Slugging for the 4k is unhealthy and you won’t change my mind.
