    Around 350 of them and I can reach T3 in under 30 seconds in best scenarios, average I am 99 in under a minute

    It hurts my soul when I see Mikey players prematurely pop their tier 3. Never do it unless you're sure you can get the down.

    A soft cap is the soft cap to what the game matchmakes you at. So lets say hypothetically your MMR is 2100 but since the soft cap is 1700 the game will matchmake you as 1700 creating an MMR range of just random people for the sake of "queue times". When they could just remove MMR but since BHVR added something they become EXTREMELY reluctant to remove it despite the backlash from the community.

    When there's a BP incentive in play, I'm pretty sure MMR has more or less been switched off completely. Which means for the majority of the day (in my region at least), this game doesn't have a fully functional MMR system. And at peak SWF times, if you're the random third or fourth Survivor, I think your ranking score is disregarded as well. Hence, why we get unbalanced teams matched up with Killer players they probably shouldn't ever be facing.

    These are just my suspicions, mind you. I don't think anyone outside of BHVR has a solid or accurate understanding of how the MMR system actually works. Sometimes I see a BP incentive for killer but it still takes a long time to get into a game. I mean, what's going on there? I like to think if a match is instant it means accurate, but perhaps it actually means there's no-one else so I guess you'll do.

    I do wonder how much longer people would be prepared to wait for more accurate match making, though. My guess would be not very...

    The 129 hour survivor escaped every match until they met you.

    It doesn't matter how high your MMR rating is, the game has a cap in terms of match making. You can be 25,000 and they 19,000. You're the same to the match making algorithm.


    Also, 129 hours is only for that account. They could swapped platforms and really have 300 hours.

    But does that matter?

    Some people take to games better than others not to mention there are different roles. I have 4600hrs in DBD and play mostly killer. Does that 4600hrs make me a God tier survivor? Hell no. There are survivors with 300hrs better than me. Thanks for not making match making based on hours or Devotion as some will advocate for.

    In the end, they could of been in a SWF with someone with a high MMR.

    What do you run on him? I'm currently on a DBD break but I'd love to try whatever you use in terms of perks or strategy when I come back.

    Legit with the way mmr is I legit despise playing outside of a 3-4 player swf as i usually get survivors that always get themselves killed because haha i want to get into a chase with the killer asap or I want to ignore gens and follow the killer around while he chases people or the oh ######### I'm about to lose this chase and go down let me bring the killer to a teammate(usually me or the one person im playing in a swf with) that's working on a gen basically undoing that gens progress and effectively sandbagging


    Like no joke I dodge lobbies as survivor if I see a resident evil survivor because 99% of the time they make the match unfun and they have a extremely high chance to work with the killer if they are on death hook


    Like the mmr is horrible for both sides

    None of that means he's strong. If you're a 4000-hour killer player, 25+ win streaks are pretty easy with any killer if you're aiming to win. The game is still killer-sided at high levels unless you're against a tryhard SWF, and you almost never see tryhard SWFs at high levels.

    Myers is objectively weaker than 99% of the other killers, maybe the worst now with the Trapper buffs.

    i dont usually complain about anything about this game tbh but the one gripe i do have is that matchmaking doesn't feel.... that great?

    i play demogorgon because i breathe and eat this killer, but i do not sweat or play uber-competitively unless im in a match that warrants that type of playstyle. i noticed that because of this i have a fairly equal win/loss ratio, yet i get matched with two extremes in lobbies; survivors with relatively lower hour counts or perform as expected for newer players, or veterans with over 4000 hours that play with extreme pressure or give me extremely challenging games.

    i'm unsure if MMR has made lobbies better or slightly worse. given from what i remember from years ago before MMR was added, it doesn't feel any different from the way that lobbies felt back then. in fact, i think lobbies felt more consistent because it was a mixture of different skill levels.

    from a logical standpoint, i can see why MMR was implemented. however i do think that the way it calculates its numbers may not be ideal for the way this game is played today and it's causing a bit of frustration for both sides, especially survivor.

    on my end, my survivor playing hours make up roughly 13% of my playtime, 14% being dedicated to studying aspects of the game with both sides, and about 73% of it being dedicated to one specific killer in the roster. that being said, i'm not the most experienced survivor and play similar to a survivor with roughly 300-400hrs in the game. despite this, i personally feel like i get matched with players who outperform me significantly or i outperform the team. this experience is similar to my killer games.

    it's been affecting my ability to learn or properly showcase my skills in the game as a result and i often times end up performing worse, or completely crushing the competition, the next game. i wish there was a little more consistency regarding skill levels that are present in lobbies. i don't feel like i'm progressing properly or creating an enjoyable experience when MMR is in a weird state like this
