I can't understand her counter for someone like Wraith even though I hate facing him I can still understand how to handle him. Spirit that's the main problem her husk has the terror radius the wind sound she masks doesn't give much info other then oh she's nearby and most times she finds even when I'm not injured. How do you counter her because I'm not wasting any pallets on her.

Her audio is directional, so you can hear where she’s coming from. Predrop pallets and mindgame. Don’t try and camp a pallet.. you 9/10 times won’t react fast enough.

I've never been able to work it out and given up trying. She has directional phasing but damn if I can tell where it's coming from, even with headphones on. I just take a guess and usually die.

You need headphones. Trying to tell where she is during a phase with a speaker set up is going to suck.

if the spirit is bad then walking and hiding scratchmarks work. If they have cherry blossom or are just really good, predrop and pray

    By giving her a kiss

Play against her and few times I was able to juke her by walking to unexpected direction. Though I believe it wasnt because of my play, but just Spirit isnt good.

In the past there was no counter but Spine Chill. Now you can hear the direction she is.

So the optimal counter: Get a really good headset :)

    You can't.

BHVR has destroyed all the viable counters to her.

    PRETTY GOOD JOB SO FAR

    You can't

And if you are deaf its gg, the game outplayed you

They basically gave her counterplay by adding the directional sound, don't know what to say despite get headphones and listen, it takes some time but you can get pretty good at hearing where she is, but she can still use it to her advantage you still need to think about what she might do next and position yourself properly.

You trick her. Spirit's Whole gameplay revolves around confusing the everoloving scheiße out of you so you'll panic, giving her an advantage. A few fakes and mindgames tricks plenty of survivors into running for the safety of the pallet, at which point spirit swings and hits them. you outplay her the same way she outplays you; confusion.

they should really let visual TR tell deaf people about spirits woosh. rn deaf people are just playing against old spirit.

Dude this is not a finely tuned PVP game all the sweaty try hards try to make it.

I am not putting on headphones just to play this buggy, unbalanced mess of a game.

She does give a directional audio cue about her position; You do need Iron Will, to predrop pallets, fake fast vaults by quickly slow vaulting back (you do need to have a decent headstart to be able to pull that off), but that's how it goes against the basic Spirit without the sweaty add-ons.

The moment you're facing Spirit who uses the add-ons to get killer instincts while within X meters of you, you're gonna be very accurately tracked throughout the entire match, and so I would kinda recommend camping pallets whenever you notice such a pattern and the killer having such add-ons. You may try to run towards the pallet from one side, but quickly change directions and drop it from the other side to try to stun her and dodge her attack, but you're very likely gonna be late for that and suffer from a hit anyway..

She's quite deadly and difficult, but playing her is also a very difficult task.. Because her power has one of the longest cooldowns in the entire game. Oh, that reminds me.. Made For This and the exhausting perks do work very well against her, just like Iron Will does, although she might still track you down through the scratch marks of yours.

So.. The add-on means there's no valid and reliable counterplay; No add-on means the possibility to confuse her a little and pull off some crazy plays, but the odds are still heavily in her favour, unless the map RNG doesn't favour her or she's running out of time and needs to finish the chase quickly, as experienced killers will leave you for the later if the chase seems to be taking forever.

Just predrop and fake everything. If you're hard of hearing you might as well hand yourself over to her. Excellent design devs!

Even with the directional sound she’s too unpredictable man. I rarely won my confrontations against her because even if I apply the advices to counter her, it’s like she’s in your head and downs you on the ground anyway

Spirits will always hit into the pallet. Dont stay there, stay at the edge of the loop.

Alternate: Pre-Drop - slow walking. Change direction while slow walking

Run the new perk which silence footsteps when healthy

I mean sound is a very important part of the game: Hearing Wraiths gnarling, hearing footsteps for example from Demogorgon, hearing Myers breathing and so on. You will definitively weaken yourself if you play without headset but that's fine, no one can tell you to do otherwise but you cannot really complain about not having the counterplay when you refuse to do that... You cannot complain in counter strike that you didn't hear the guy behind you with the knife if you don't play with sound, same goes here.

    Wrong.

There are counters, you just can’t be camping pallets 24/7 against her, and listening out for her directional sound queue is a dead giveaway for her, you need to listen carefully.

Hold W from loops and pallets at the right time, when she exits phase she has a cooldown + she is a 4.4 Killer.

Certain perks enhances your ability in countering her as well, like Light Footed or Light Weight, Iron Will, etc.

She is strong, yes, but uncounterable? No.

If your versing her, play stealthy because being injured is basically a guaranteed death, so if you know that your versing her, hide in lockers and stuff to avoid her, but at the same time be productive for the team.

You don't. You pray that the spirit player is bad or that you have a god pallet/god window nearby to buy you a bit more time.
