Can I Cleanse One Totem When the Trial Begins?
Can I cleanse one totem at the beginning while I'm healthy and then have both ready to go? I can do generators until I'm hooked, then hop in a locker for recovery?

Yup, you sure can. You'd need to reactivate both though afterwards, but you can do this right at the start.

Might give this combo a go. My build needs a change up.

I'm thinking the same thing. I just got bored of my usual. I'm looking through all these perks. I have everyone P3 and the vast majority of these perks are so situational or just not worth it.

Yeah, the struggle is real with survivor perks. You want to keep things interesting without potentially dragging the team down.

I can't give up Kindred though, not in SoloQ.

No. Must do gens. Gens are mother. Gens are father.

I used Kindred for a good year after I started playing. It's one of the best perks for solo q (We'll Make It is another).

Those are the two I'm still using. This week, I stopped using Prove Thyself and Resilience. I added Botany and Self-Care.
Did you stop using Kindred?!

I use the perks with Small game and Clairvoyance for Totems build, and its quite fun.

Early pressure is key for survivors, so slamming the gens early on can lead to better results down the line.
That said, there's nothing wrong with taking 12 seconds to cleanse a totem and get your perks activated early since they can ALSO give you value.
Basically, as long as you're not wasting several minutes searching for totems you're doing just fine.

Thanks again, Peanits! I am trying to break out of my usual loadout but it's so uncomfortable. I'll stare at the screen for 15 minutes pondering the consequences of trying something new.

I did unfortunately. I started playing around with other builds and just never ended up equipping Kindred again

Does anyone in SoloQ rescue you from the hook?
