SloppyButcher Meta but Selfcare Still Top10

I play at SEA region, if you play as solo survivor you will meet with a lot of player still using self care.
Usually they pair with BotanyKnowledge because they realised SelfCare is too slow.
Running to corner map, start the self heal ritual.....
Survivor who still using SelfCare similiar to them who use WindowsOfOpportunity, take off their perk then they don't know how to play.
(SelfCare user not always newbie player, just like WindowsOfOpportunity user)
The problem is relying too much on those perks.
when you play solo survivor, you protest that random survivors have no cooperation, but the perks you use are all for yourself, does that make sense?
I'm a survivor main, stop calling for solo queue buff, especially those who ask for voice chat feature, my goodness, the real problem is survivors themselves. (HUD really is more than enough)

A lot of the reason Self-bota is used is because many people think it is necessary against top tier killers.
In the past, practicing self-care was seen as a sign of being a beginner and was ridiculed. Nowadays, if you don't bring it as standard, you tend to be treated as a beginner.
The number of killers who are dangerous to repair generators while injured has increased, and we compared the loss when working with allies to treat the survivor and the loss when moving to the appropriate location and treating on your own. Because the latter is more advantageous.
Currently, an effective strategy is to always have one person or more repairing the generator.
Self-care is great because it doesn't get in the way of that.
The problem is that many survivors cling to self-care practices even when they are not in a situation where they are doing so, making the situation worse.
I too wish that all survivors were able to utilize the HUD as you say.

And why not choosing "teamwork" style perk for healing? like We'll Make It, Empathy, Autodidact, Boon Circle of Healing why must SelfCare?

Empathy doesn't help heal faster, Autodidact might be useless if you get unlucky skillchecks, and We'll Make It has a window of time to be used. Circle of Healing can be removed by the killer easily.
The benefit of SelfCare+Botany is that you are not wasting gen time compared to basic healing.
If it takes 16 seconds for a teammate to heal you, that is 2 people not working on gens = 32 seconds of people not working on gens.
If you use SC+BK to heal yourself in 32 seconds, you are at the same net time spent not on generators if your teammate that would have otherwise healed you is working on them.
That's not even factoring in that oftentimes teammates simply refuse to heal you, and SC+BK allows you to heal virtually risk free in areas the killer isn't patrolling.

That's just the meta in SEA. They tend to favor hiding and stealth rather than looping, and they generally play in a very selfish way, hence the self-care/botany.

What if you change your way of thinking?
if you get back to full health faster then you can help do other things, it's not all about generators.
Of course I know Empathy doesn't help heal quickly but definitely faster than SelfCare-Botany
If it takes 16 seconds for a teammate to heal you, that is 2 people not working on gens = 32 seconds of people not working on gens.
you know healing yourself with SelfCare-Botany wasting more time, right? especially if you get mangled.
Playing solo survivor doesnt mean you only thinking about yourself, jeez

I unironically believe removing the ability to self heal on self care will increase the average skill of survivors.

that's a fact

I'm in Western Australia, and I get put in an Asian server alot. Self Care is very common, and definitely not just new players. I also don't see MFT as much as others seem to, which makes sense because using SC means you don't plan to play injured. Having reliable team mates is uncommon, it's true. But likewise, I see very little camping and tunnelling in my server (per my own stats, tunnelling averages about 1 in every 12 games, and camping around 1 in every 15). Different regions seem to have different approaches to and attitudes around gaming.

i was under impression that asia just uses self-care with med-kits. i didn't think they were actually healing for 45 seconds....
Doesn't killer just win for free by equip sloppy butcher in asia? that must be very easy to 4k in asia playing killer.

Not sure about camping but "hardcore" tunnel just the same, i think.

They did, but most of them use 2 perk slot just for self heal (SelfCare-Botany)

Asia is surprisingly wide-ranging.
At least in Japan and Korea, selfcare and botany are used together quite often.
The reason is that it is essential to counter high-tier killers.
And Botany shows its true value not only in self-care but also in treating others.
When playing against high-tier killers, each Survivor needs to constantly switch jobs, and they tend to be required to be highly versatile talents rather than being specific specialists.
For this reason, selfcare botany is preferred for its versatility.

Strategically, this is what should happen. The idea of camping is that it takes advantage of the survivors' altruism allowing easy downs. If as a Killer you don't believe that the survivors are in any hurry to come to the hook, you have no reason to stay there.
It's a weird reversal: the more a group of survivors care about playing as a team, the more the killer can use it against them, the less they care the easier it becomes to carry such actions out.
and tunnelling
I think the logic here is because the SC survivor is going to run to a genless edge of the map after the unhook, trying to chase them is a waste of time. The amount of time you'd waste locating them would give the other survivors a significant edge in getting gens done. Tunneling is so effective on other servers because the chance that after an unhook you'll find the survivors right there healing is pretty high.
