Anti camp mechanic should be disabled when the survivor is nearing the next hook stage
If a survivor is near the next hook stage, a common strategy is to briefly camp to secure the next stage. I think the anti camp should be disabled for 10 seconds before the next hook stage so this strategy is retained. Other than that, I'm fine with the anti-camp mechanic.

It's progress bar and not a flip switch. If you didn't camp survivor, you have enough time left in progress bar for securing next stage.
I see no good reason to give killer buffer and also free extra camp time. Like we are trying to get rid of facecamping, not hide it behind new words

The problem is how much free unhook progress survivors get when the killer isn't even camping. Multiple stories still give progress even if it's slower, looping killers near the hook still gives free progress even if slower, and if the hooked survivor is near a generator, the killer is fully penalized for checking up on the generator.

If the killer isn't camping, then the timer will be empty anyway. So you can come back to hook shortly before next stage hits and secure it without filling up the timer enough for them to jump.

You are clearly talking about PTB version. All your points were addressed and live version (according to dev notes) won't suffer from this much

No, mine is referring to their updates. Notice my comments about other floors will still progress albeit slower. Their changes also don't mention anything about hooks being next to gens.

If it's slower, then it will probably leave you enough time to not care about it. Provided you don't decide to just stay above hooked survivor for some reason (say to camp the only entrance to that hook on garden of joy). Or am I missing something?
