What’s aesthetically your favorite map in dbd?

what map despite being bad in design is aesthetically your favorite map in the game and you sometimes enjoy loading into it?
mine is Badham Preschool
I just love its aesthetic and building styles but not a fan of all those loops and pallet spawns

PTB Toba Landing I thought the devs really outdid themselves.
Eyrie currently

Although I don't enjoy playing on it, Midwich is really well done. I'm not even a Silent Hill fan, I just like all the creepy little details they included. It's obvious that a lot of effort went into crafting it.
But my personal favourite has to be Toba Landing. It's just so incredibly pretty. I'm also probably one of the few people that likes the Swamp maps, even though I can't see anything when I'm playing on them with my Legion.

Coldwind
A full on daylight map in a game like this is a tricky thing to pull of, and they absolutely nailed it.

Midwich probably, being a big Silent Hill fan. Racoon City Police Station and The Game are nifty too.
Original map probably... Lery's and Dead Dawg.

Yes I also love Midwich elementary (as someone who joined this game cause of silent hill) but I often find it miserable to play on with its design but that doesn’t remove how well made the horror aspect of this map is…the clock sound effects, the sirens from silent hill….yeah its still a good map aesthetic wise :D

I love the Farm maps because of the lighting. It's the only map that gives me hope and warmth in the Realm. Also survivors look prettier on those maps since the lighting isn't horrible.

(If this comment gets sent twice then sorry cause from my screen it didn’t get sent at the first time) As someone who started playing dbd cause of silent hill I agree! This map was well aesthetically made with all the cool Easter eggs and silent hill references… this is often a map I enjoy playing on due to the cool nods to the silent hill trilogy and the jumpscares

For me it's the McMillans. When I think of DBD, these are the maps that I associate with it.
Many other maps they have created look beautiful too but they don't have quite the same feeling to them. I don't know what it is but many of these maps are just too generic for me. Like they could be in any other game.

Agreed I actually love the Macmillan maps as well and I’m somewhat familiar with the older times in dbd before the licenses cause I used to watch a few YouTubers back in 2016 playing dbd and yes I also often think of it as that way sometimes myself whenever I think about dbd these maps usually come to mind as well! The Macmillan maps pretty much scream the words “dead by daylight”

I have a few and for a few reasons, bear with me 😅
- Autohaven: Overall my favorite group of maps because of their design, and when I was starting the game, the one I felt the most at ease with (both Killer and Survivor), and still do. Out of all em though, my heart goes to Gas Heaven.
- Springwood/ Badham Elementary: the easter eggs alone make my inner horror nerd happy.
- Forsaken Boneyard/ Eyrie of Crows: As an artist/someone who loves to learn things... make it cloudy/stormy nighttime, some more easels & art supplies, and some Halloween Decorations.... I feel like its a very accurate visual representation of my mind at any given moment in time 🤣

Mother's Dwelling looks really nice.
I like the atmosphere and Huntresses house is really pretty.
Playing on it is a nightmare though...

For licensed maps, Midwich because it's the creepiest map in the game. I love all the jump scares and easter eggs on that map. Plus I'm a fan of Silent Hill.
For original maps, definitely Lery's. It's creepy and eerie and the ambience music/sounds are cool.

Haddonfield.
They did a good job capturing the atmosphere of the original Halloween movie.

Agreed when I first saw the rework I was like
wait isn’t this Judith’s room from the original movie? And after that I just stopped focusing on the gens and started exploring around the map and I personally loved the rework the only thing I miss about the old map was the blueish filter they had in the original haddonfield

no it does have a great aesthetic design
and sorry if I didn’t respond to your comment earlier btw!

Aesthetically, a toss between Midwitch or old RPD. Midwitch is one of the few that still give off that creeping feeling in this game while looking great while the RPD looked fantastic on release. It played miserable but it looked nice.

Léry’s for me.

all of dbd maps look pretty good these days outside of the swamp ones

RPD, Haddonfield.
I prefer old maps much more than current ones.
Current maps are mostly bright and don't give me scary vibes.

Rpd easily

I like Ormond, just wish it went back to nighttime.

Same here
wish we could have the night time for most of the maps as well….

I don’t think it’s the brightness fault why the game lost some of its horror elements I think it’s the lack of fog or in general the horror element
take Badham for example
it still has some horror vibes in it

The game. I'm a big saw fan and it has the iconic bathroom and Saw 3 is my favourite saw movie even though I didn't like some of the characters and it had many flashbacks linking back to it. Midwich I love how creepy it is. I hate playing in it though.

Lerys is a masterclass in the "Abandoned Creepy Hospital" Horror trope and I love it

Probably Father Campbell's Chapel. The main building is gorgeous, and the fairgrounds provide really cool atmosphere! Kinda wish they were willing to spice up existing realms more often like this.
Luckily it's also not too bad from a gameplay perspective. Neither killer or survivor feel bad on it.

What are some of the Easter eggs on badham? cause I didn’t know about any

For a licensed map, it's Midwich for me. There is something about how much effort and detail that went into it which makes me believes it was a labour of love by the designers that has not been replicated on any other licensed map.
For the original maps, aesthetically the Temple of Purgation stands out, like a ruin found in the middle of the forest, complete with ruined remains around it.
