PC and console players

I play on xb1 and playing killer can sometimes get the best of me as you seem to never be able to do anything right. (8/10 I get a message) Most of the time its camping. What is considered camping? I patrole and yeah if I see someone close by I don't just stand in the hooked survivors face. But I don't hook and walk to the other side of the map either unless I'm playing billy (then I'll chainsaw dash away cause its fun of course) but the constant messages drain the fun out of the game and I'm curious how it is on PC? I love this game but if it means dealing with less toxicity I'll gladly redo everything just to have fun. That's the point anyways. Playing survivor I never have problems... Of course. But I know how it is being killer and I won't wait in the safety of the exit just do tbag you because honestly its pointless. I made this post for feedback on different communities because I'm curious how it is across platforms.

From what I understand, less toxicity spread, but when you hit toxic survivors you hit them like a bag of wet sand coated in bricks and you will not enjoy it. So if you'd rather enjoy a larger portion of your games and sometimes hit the worst of the worst then PC might be better for you.

    That's just my experience though.

Low Ranks on PC, not so much toxicity except when a deranked SWF squad is playing and they get hurt because they were expecting a new player to bully. Middle Ranks, about the same, but there are more egos there so you can expect a bit of toxicity. High Ranks... yeah. Nope. Not even going there because it's egos on top of egos. Noone ever screws up because they are too good. It's the Killer's fault, etc etc.

Same thing on the Killer side btw. I've been in a few matches where everyone played decent, it was a fun match, and the Killer started the toxic shitstorm because they just had to flex their ego. It's a rare occurance, but it does happen. Overall though I have to say there's less toxicity than people think if you just avoid the high ranks (red).

PS4 player here. It’s mostly random if you get toxic players. Most players can’t be bothered to send a message after the match if they want to spew toxic crap.

Rarely have I seen toxic Killers, but toxic Survivors are all over the place. Over all Ranks. 1/5 matches you’ll get non-toxic Survivors. There is usually at least one in the four that flashlight click spams, Loops all game while tea bagging you, etc.

I’ve had very few toxic Killers. Play style isn’t what I consider toxic though. I don’t care if you camp or tunnel, you’re playing the game. It’s cool. Very few Killers will stick around just to smack you on the hook and BM, slug a Survivors and just let them all bleed out over 2 minutes, etc.

Overall, toxicity is kind of lower on PS4, except that you’ll get more BM from Survivors. As per usual.

So a Waith who slugs the last guy alive, and just walks behind them rigging his bell for 2 minutes isn’t toxic? Mori cancel spamming?

How difficult is it to play on PC though? Is it controller compatible.. Or do you have to play with the keyboard? I know my PCs but the only games I've ever played is sims-sims 4 and lol. 😂

See those messages I would be perfectly fine with. At least its creative and not the same old "you're trash, stop playing this game, etc. Etc" if you're going to send me salt at least add some extra seasonings to it!

I play on the Xbox One X, If you don't like salty messages you can turn them off.
    Go into:

Settings > account > privacy & online safety > Xbox live privacy > view details & customise > communication & multiplayer:

"Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites = block / friends (instead of "everyone")

This will auto block every message or party invite from randoms not on your friends list or everyone entirely.

I find PC significantly easier to capitalize on. Nurse and huntress are noticeably easier to use with a mouse, and if you get a good enough PC you won't have to worry about lag issues. It might take some getting used to and you won't get to carry your progress but I'd consider it a worthwhile investment. Plus you get patches early. :P

I don't want it to come down to that though, I get what your saying but there are times I still communicate with people. Even randoms

I dont know how long you have had an XBOX but you can block messages from even getting to you if that whats bothering you. Also you can block people completely. . Also you can report people and get them banned. They ban people for the dumbest things so it will probably work. There are many choices for you.

Keyboard and Mouse is fantastic on the PC. I have a lot of control over what I do. Probably compatible with a controller, but I've seen people talk about how KB/M is much better for controlling both Killer and Survivor.

Eh been with Xbox since the original. Had my gt changed for me and everything so I wouldn't mind switching to PC. I know the workarounds just want to know how the did. Communities are

I find it like walking a tightrope, I can understand camping and tunneling in certain situations but I find it very boring and a bit toxic when you get face camped or when someone unhooks you and the killer walks past other survivors and goes straight for you.
Like i said, I can understand it in certain situations, for example when the gate is open, the game is pretty much over then and I always understand camping and tunneling at that point.
I am not a fan of the killers who down you with 2 gens completed then throw a hissy fit and stay at the hook to "secure at least one kill", I just think that makes the game unfun.
In saying that, there is a good way to counteract camping and tunneling which not many survivors seem to take.. BORROWED TIME. I take it nearly every game because at the end of the game it is extremely useful to help your teammates.
