It was a long run for Dbd but all things must come to an end
7≈ years was enough. I understand the devs want to develop something else rather than having to focus on this game all the time. I would be bored too to listen to the community and meeting deadlines. Bugs after bugs with no end to sight, releasing patches but to no avail. Losing creativity and ingenuity to perks and chapters. I guess this is it then.
It was a fun ride.

At what point do you realise you’re hoping the game dies?
like that’s not a healthy mindset to have, bub.

They tried several other games, and none of them were successfull... So this is basically the one project they have that is successfull? Why on earth would they throw away their golden goose? Yeah sure nobody likes deadlines, but also nobody likes being without a job so...

Obviously DBD is far away from dying and some people just want the game to die. They dont have fun playing it anymore but they cant stop playing, so they hope it will die so that everyone else also cannot have fun with it anymore.

Well played, now I gotta get out with my sad post 😢

If DBD dies everyone’s going to move on to other games and we all know what happens after that
the longer DBD stays alive the better.

I wouldn't say it was all that fun.

Ok bye bye see you later 😂 the game ain't going anywhere for a while this isn't TCM or F13 lmao even with the release of Texas chainsaw massacre DbD never even had a hiccup ngl but I see TCM following the same path as the Evil Dead game and F13. Don't get me wrong it's a decent game but it's not doing well. Even with DbD being broken it's still at the top of asymmetrical horror games

Can assure you, Dead by Daylight is not going anywhere.
We're a growing company and have many projects on the go (always have done!), and we remain having a dedicated team to Dead by Daylight which has not changed, growing if anything!

I've never understood the motivation behind the I'm leaving/game is dying thread.
I get that people might want to express their discontent with changes they don't like but to make a very vague I'm leaving/game is dying thread with no real substance outside of I'm not happy/bored strikes me as odd.
Is it a need for external validation?
Is it born of modern day online narcissism?
Is it an ill-conceived attempt to invoke change via brinkmanship? i.e "If I don't get my way I'm taking my ball and going home."
I'm not having a go I'm just trying to rationalize posts like this, I mean lets face it... its not a life affirming change to stop playing a video game.
If it is for you then taking a break is a good idea because you need to stop playing games and get out and experience more.
