Reverse Bear Traps - The Pig
Why can a survivor with a Reverse Bear Trap on can leave the trial? Shouldn't they die when leaving at the gate.

It needs to be active. So you need to place the trap before the final gen pop. If it is active, they need to disarm the head trap or escape through Hatch. If it happened while active, test it out again (and record) in a bot match or with a friend and if it also happens there, report it as a bug.

It used to work where the traps activated when triggering end game collapse, effectively getting the effect you are describing.
It had to be removed cause it was brutally unfair, the Pig could just open a door/close hatch, then just follow you and there was literally no way you could ever get the trap off without dying to the trap, her hooking you, or EGC killing you.

This is correct. When they added EGC they had to change how the head traps worked. It did kill off an aspect of endgame Piggy, but it was necessary.

I still hate how the pig was nerfed into the ground. The pig is a husk of its launch day self an I'm just wanting a decent pig rework. Even though it was op survivors could still just take off the traps or make the pig run out of them before the game ends. I'm not saying every thing I put in the post should absolutely be in there I'm just giving a general idea. Please be welcome to give me more feedback about the other things I said.
